API Certified In-Service Plant Inspector (Plant Inspector)
The Plant Inspector will work with Client (a State Owned Company based in Qatar) Integrity engineering team members under Inspection Engineer. To conduct the inspection and advise on Inspection and NDT requirements / activities, in line with the operation integrity engineering plans, to meet Client onshore and offshore operating plant integrity and reliability requirements for safe and continued operation.

Background:
The Plant Inspector reports to the Inspection engineer.


The Following Skills, experience and qualifications are required:
An experienced, high level of proficiency in English, with a recognized diploma in mechanical or materials engineering discipline, Meeting the minimum education requirements and years of experience as per the qualifications matrix.
With years after qualification in the field of integrity, inspection or corrosion engineering covering oil and gas industry Static Equipment integrity management through the application of risk-based inspection and reliability techniques, post his diploma or as given in the qualifications matrix.
A current pressure vessel inspector API 510 & piping inspector API 570 is mandatory.
Conversant with NDT / NDE methods and procedures and Qualified as ASNT / PCN / Level II in UT, MPI & DP as a minimum.

Preferred Skills:
Fully conversant with MS Office.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good knowledge and experience in coating inspection, selection and application techniques. NACE coating certification is an added advantage.
Experienced in RBI Methodology. API 580 is an added advantage.
API 936 certification is an added advantage.

Specific Skills:
Must be knowledgeable about the identification and classification of various types of materials and damage mechanisms. Certification in API 571 is an added advantage.
Must be able to carry out equipment inspections, organize NOT, interpret & evaluate results and prepare inspection reports giving detailed observations and recommendations along with repair procedures as necessary.
Must be able to carry out / execute visual and Boroscopic Inspection.
Good knowledge and experience in welding procedures, electrode selection, welder qualification and WPS / PQR review.
Good knowledge and experience in inspection of refractory lined equipment's.
Will participate in preparing inspection work packages for plant turnarounds and ensure effective shutdown execution.
Execute detailed inspection work scopes during normal and plant shutdowns.
Will Act as "Authorized Inspector" for undertaking examinations and to Inspect fired / unfired pressure equipment heaters, columns, vessels, heat exchangers, piping systems and storage tanks.
Will upload inspection data and ensure that the inspection documentation and data is kept up-todate in SAP / Inspection Management Systems.

Main Accountabilities:
To attend all daily on-stream and shutdown inspection activities for all onshore and offshore static equipment and piping of process plants(stationary equipment) and piping systems, and structures, by assessing deterioration mechanisms. He will also participate in the daily inspection and testing and provides analyses of equipment condition.
To identify equipment areas of concern and prepare reports to follow-up their resolution for improvement of Plant Integrity.
To comply with all Client Health, Safety and Environment as well as Work Permit, policies and procedures.
To implements Client SHE Management System, Maintenance and Inspection Policies and Procedures
