Its principal activities are the marketing and distribution of petroleum products in Malaysia.
PDB was incorporated on 5 August 1982 and was converted to a public company on 21 August 1993.

Shares of the Company were listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad on 8 March 1994.

Responsibilities:
1. To identify and consolidate the requirements of each business lines i.e. retail, LPG, Commercial and Supply & Distribution based on the approved budget, which has potential cost savings for input to the Master Procurement Plan.
2. To execute the implementation of procurement plans under the approved Master Procurement Plan for products/services above RM100K to achieve and realize the objectives outline by the plan.
3. To facilitate and provide feedback on the effectiveness of the existing business systems and process in supporting operational requirements and identify setbacks.
4. To ensure and implement appropriate procurement policies, management and system in ensuring streamlined procurement practices and optimization of bumiputera/local suppliers' participation.
5. To conduct periodic supplier performance assessment/pre screening exercise (such as service station contractors, depot and maintenance services) through analyzing of company data, site visits, interviews and performance feedback in ensuring reliable, resilient and respectable suppliers.
6. To undertake expert user function in the various procurement and supply chain process improvement and quality initiatives (e.g. e-business activities such as e-procurement, e-settlement, P-Card).
7. To undertake responsibility as Tender Secretary of Tender Committee Category 3 (TCC3) which deliberates tenders for value between RM100K to RM1 million.
8. To facilitate the preparation of agreements upon award of contracts to ensure that all contracts awarded by the Company are duly followed by a signed agreement.   
Requirements:
1. A degree in Business / Finance/Accounts
2. 5-10 years involvement in various aspect of procurement & logistics.
3. Good analytical skills and market appreciation.
i. Planning/Implementing skill to organize and coordinate to meet deadlines and achieve target/objectives.
ii. Negotiation/Deal-making skill to negotiate with suppliers on prices, contracting terms and conditions.
iii. Relationship Building and Networking skill to build and maintain good relationship or network with suppliers and user departments.
iv. Business Awareness skill in maintaining effective procurement function to support the Company's business directions.
v. Teamwork skill to effectively contributes, participates and demonstrate commitment towards achieving the team objectives.
