ENGINEERING JOBS

PT. PARAS MEGAH UTAMA is contributing recruitment services for Clients in Oil and Gas industry, currently seeking for urgent positions with details as following:


A. PROJECT ENGINEER

Responsibilities
  • The Project Engineer supports the COMPANY'S Project Manager by coordinating the project team activities, ensuring that the project milestones are met, that the project is complying with all relevant government and international legislation, and is meeting or exceeding COMPANY'S technical, cost and HSE expectations.
  • The Project Engineer shall assist the COMPANY'S Project Manager with project organization, project planning, setting objectives and priorities, monitoring progress, conducting audits and reviews, and ensuring that sufficient resources are available to perform the work scope and meet COMPANY'S technical, cost and HSE objectives.
  • Assist project management in ensuring that design complies with the requirements of the Work; in accordance with the criteria, specifications and standards herein listed; and that the design is continually reviewed against the COMPANY Design Goals and complies with requirements of the COMPANY HSE philosophies and adequate standards as accepted within the offshore oil and gas industry.
Requirements

  • The Project Engineer must have a good working knowledge of project management and project control, be able to co-ordinate and interface with other parties, and have a mix of technical, commercial and HSE experience.
  • The Project Engineer must have excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills and superior planning and organization skills.
  • Must have degree educated in an engineering related field, and ideally be professionally registered or chartered as an engineer with a recognized engineering body.
  • Shall have at least ten (I0) years or more of project management experiences on offshore and onshore oil & gas facilities, design, construction, fabrication and installation, with five (5) or more years experience working as a Project Engineer on at least one major offshore oil and gas project. He must have previous experience working within a risk based HSE framework. Experience with platform with duplex piping is preferred.
  • Previous experience offshore and experience working to COMPANY Expectations (eg, GHSER) is required. Experience of working in SE Asia would be an advantage. Experience of offshore platform in very strong current and very low visibility water is a distinct advantage.


B.1. SR. CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER (COMPANY SITE REPRESENTATIVE)

Responsibilities
  • The Offshore Installation - Sr. Construction Engineer provides technical support to the Project Manager and assists him with project planning and scheduling.
  • Reviews the technical aspects of the offshore pipeline subsea cable installation procedures and methods to assure that they comply with and satisfy the requirements of the codes, standards, specifications and drawings; and he assists with interpretation of those documents as required.
  • Responsible for review and assurance of Installation engineering documents (e.g. shop drawings, material lists, etc.) and as-built drawings.
  • Assist the Project Manager with progress reporting, trend analysis and recovery planning.
  • Responsible to onshore and offshore activities as a Company Site Representative.
Requirements
  • Must have degree qualified in an engineering related field, and ideally be professionally registered or chartered as an engineer with a recognized engineering body.
  • Shall have at least ten (10) years or more of project management experiences on offshore oil & gas facilities, design, manufacture, construction and installation, with five (5) or more years experience working as a project construction engineer or at least two major projects offshore in oil and gas project which involved pipeline subsea cable.
  • Must have previous experience working within a risk based HSE framework. Experience with CRA is preferred.


B.2. JR. CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER [COMPANY SITE REPRESENTATIVE)

Responsibilities
  • The Offshore Installation - Jr. Construction Engineer provides technical support to the Sr. Construction Engineer and/or Project Manager and assists him with project planning and scheduling.
  • Reviews the technical aspects of the offshore pipeline subsea cable installation procedures and methods to assure that they comply with and satisfy the requirements of the codes, standards, specifications and drawings; and he assists with interpretation of those documents as required.
  • Responsible for review and assurance of Installation engineering documents (e.g. shop drawings, material lists, etc.) and as-built drawings.
  • Assist the Project Manager with progress reporting, trend analysis and recovery planning.
Requirements
  • Must have degree qualified in an engineering related field, and ideally be professionally registered or chartered as an engineer with a recognized engineering body.
  • Shall have at least seven (7) years or more of project management experiences on offshore oil & gas facilities, design, manufacture, construction and installation, with three (3) or more years experience working as a project construction engineer or at least two major projects offshore in oil and gas project which involved pipeline subsea cable.
  • Must have previous experience working within a risk based HSE framework. Experience with CRA is preferred.


C. DISCIPLINE ENGINEER

ELECTRICAL INSTRUMENT, MECHANICAL PIPING, STRUCTURAL CIVIL
Requirements
  • Shall have a Bachelor of Science degree in related engineering field.
  • Shall have at least ten (10) years of electrical installation 1 fabrication and pre-commission onshore and offshore facilities of oil and gas including at least five (5) years experience working in a construction site I fabrication yard as a construction / field engineer on projects essentially similar in scope to that contemplated under the Contract.
  • Good understanding of all applicable codes, standards and specifications.
  • Must have excellent engineering, interpersonal, planning and scheduling skills as well as superior written and oral communication abilities.
  • Familiar with safety management technique and method of reporting, such as, Safety Training Observation Programme (STOP).
AS-BUILT ENGINEER
Requirements
  • Shall possess at least three (3) working experience in related to Oil and Gas Industry and related to Onshore Fabrication, Offshore Platform Installation and Piping Works.
  • Shall posses the basic training and seminars to the latest software currently available and use in the Oil and Gas Industry.


D. QAQC INSPECTORS

Requirements
  • Must have 10 years minimum number of years experience in providing QA/QC inspection for Oil and Gas Project Development / Facility Fabrication & Construction and Offshore Installation specifically for Mechanical and Electrical Instrumentation works.
  • Shall have QA/QC Inspection knowledge of the different application for oil and gas facilities.
  • Shall have working knowledge of engineering data as related to field development particularly mechanical and electrical I instrumentation designs I engineering and construction codes and practices.


E. HSE INPECTORS

FABRICATION YARD and/or ONSHORE

Responsibilities
The Safety Officer shall assist COMPANY in assuring that the onshore construction, fabrication activities are conducted in a safe manner so as to avoid injuries to personnel and damage to COMPANY facilities, CONTRACTOR's equipment and the environment. At a minimum, the responsibilities shall include the following:
  • Identification and correction of safety deficiencies in COMPANY other CONTRACTOR'S construction plans and procedures prior to start of the Work.
  • Conduct JSAs, pre-job safety meetings and weekly safety meetings.
  • Periodic checking of the Worksite for the presence of explosive or toxic gases or lack of
  • oxygen.
  • Periodic visual inspections of the Worksite and construction tools and equipment to identify and correct potential hazardous physical or mechanical conditions.
  • Observation of CONTRACTOR'S personnel to identify and correct unsafe work practices and attitudes.
  • Training of CONTRACTOR'S personnel to assure that they understand and apply safe work practices and comply with COMPANY'S and CONTRACTOR'S safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct accident I injury investigations and report on same.
  • Report accident / injury statistics as required by the Contract.
Requirements
  • Shall possess at least a Bachelor degree and shall have at least ten (10) years working experience in industrial construction at least five (5) years of which was on the installation of offshore oil and gas facilities including at least three (3) years of experience in the same position.
  • Shall have received formal training in offshore construction safety management, monitoring and accident prevention as well as the use of basic fire fighting equipment, portable explosive gas detection meters, portable oxygen content meters, portable hydrogen sulphide (H2S) detection meters and self contained breathing apparatuses (SCBA); and he must possess a valid certificate from a recognized authority attesting to his safety training and qualifications.
  • Shall have experience as a Safety Officer on at least one (I) previous project essentially similar in scope to that contemplated under the Contract. The Safety Officer must have a complete understanding of American Petroleum Institute (API) Recommended Practices RP-2220, RP-750 and RP-750-R-OCS as well as the safety regulations, policies and procedures of the Indonesian government, CONTRACTOR and COMPANY.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills as well as good written and oral communication abilities. International construction experience, especially within Indonesia is highly desirable.


OFFSHORE INSTALLATION

Responsibilities
The Safety Officer shall report directly to and assist the Installation Superintendent in assuring that the offshore construction activities are conducted in a safe manner so as to avoid injuries to personnel and damage to COMPANY facilities, CONTRACTOR's equipment and the environment. At a minimum, the Safety Officer's responsibilities shall include the following:
  • Identification and correction of safety deficiencies in CONTRACTOR'S construction plans and procedures prior to start of the Work.
  • Conduct JSAs, pre-job safety meetings and weekly safety meetings.  
  • Periodic checking of the Worksite for the presence of explosive or toxic gases or lack of oxygen.
  • Periodic visual inspections of the Worksite and construction tools and equipment to identify and correct potential hazardous physical or mechanical conditions.
  • Observation of CONTRACTOR'S personnel to identify and correct unsafe work practices and attitudes.
  • Training of CONTRACTOR'S personnel to assure that they understand and apply safe work practices and comply with COMPANY'S and CONTRACTOR'S safety policies and procedures.

  • Safety Officer shall possess at least a high school diploma (or equivalent) and he shall have at least ten (10) years working experience in industrial construction at least five (5) years of which was on the installation of offshore oil and gas facilities including at least three (3) years of experience as an Safety Officer.
  • Shall have received formal training in offshore construction safety management, monitoring and accident prevention as well as the use of basic fire fighting equipment, portable explosive gas detection meters, portable oxygen content meters, portable hydrogen sulphide (H2S) detection meters and self contained breathing apparatuses (SCBA).
  • Must possess a valid certificate from a recognized authority attesting to his safety training and qualifications.
  • Shall have experience as a Safety Officer on at least one (1) previous project essentially similar in scope to that contemplated under the Contract.
