Electrical Technician - Gas Processing

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnoses and rectifies faults.
  • Participates in the installation and planned maintenance of a variety of electrical equipments such as Emergency generators, HT & LT switchgears, Motor control centers, Ex LT & HT motors, protective relays, transformers, portable electrical equipments, Actuators for MOV’s, electrical heaters, electrical heat tracing system, UPS system , Battery chargers/Rectifiers and all associated electrical equipments.
  • The job exists to provide efficient and quality maintenance of electrical equipments of NGL Plants, Off -Plots facilities. Non-adherence to safe working procedures will lead to unsafe plant conditions & failure of plant/equipments giving rise to substantial revenue losses.
Requirements:
  • Completion of Secondary School (12 years) education followed by 2 years full time training in electrical trades to OND level or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written English is essential.
  • Short courses in safety and hazardous area.
  • Familiar with safety standards and regulations.
  • 4 years experience in electrical main frames and repair work in petrochemical and oil refinery companies.
