Perth - Senior Mechanical Engineer - Urgent

Are you a Senior Mechanical Engineer with experience in power generation on the design for procurement side as opposed to the design for manufacture?

I am not looking for a boilermaker or engineerwho is a specialist in designing rotating equipment but one who understands how the turbines and steam generators fit within the power plant.

You understand the critical elements of a power plant and you know enough about a plant to judge which equipment is needed and where. You have enough experience to be able to size pumps, valves, understand combined turbines and have exposure to and an interest in renewable energy including thermal and wind power generation.

You are able to identify new business opportunities in the market and have the industry knowledge to judge where there are potential scopes for work.

You can consult clients on building a power station that they did not know they needed and design different options for plant layouts in order to advise them on a solution.

You do not need to be a specialist in any mechanical area but a generalist in power generation.

You can work independently and can manage projects. You are hands on and you are always looking to further your technical knowledge.

You have a BSc in Mechanical Engineering and likely further certificates or studies.
Your experience is at least 12 years.
