We are looking for candidates (Preferably Western Expats) for the position of Upstream Lead Process Engineer for Direct Hire with our Client in Qatar, a leading European Oil & Gas Consultancy.

Our Client's’ Department of Processis working with concept studies, FEED, and detailed engineering on extension and modification projects of oil and gas plants - both onshore and offshore. The position will be in a dedicated design office with 150 employees.

Our Client's’ Department of Processis working with concept studies, FEED, and detailed engineering on extension and modification projects of oil and gas plants - both onshore and offshore. The position will be in a dedicated design office with 150 employees.
Job Profile:
• Responsible for a group of 10 process engineers and designers in a dedicated design office at one of our major clients.
• Ensure that the work is carried out in a professional manner and in compliance with applicable contracts, Company policies, values and relevant laws and regulations.
• Actively monitor work progress such that risks and problem areas are identified, reported and solutions identified early in the project phase.
• Act as project engineer for assigned brown field projects
• Plan and execute assigned projects and tasks.
• Interdisipline coordination with other departments
• Review and approve assigned deliverables produced by other members of the team.
• Guiding others to develop DBM’s, review of process simulations.
• Shall possess good knowledge of industry and company standards such as “Loss prevention”, HAZOP, API, etc.
• Coordinate and participate in safety related studies
• Development of oil and gas facilities using process simulation tools.
• Heat and Mass Balances, Hydraulic and transient analysis.
• Process simulation using HYSYS/PIPSIM software.
• To issue high quality, cost effective designs and reports in a timely manner.
Candidate Profile:
• Are BE degree holders in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering.
• have min. 12 years relevant oil and gas industry experience
• Experience with offshore production systems (Inlet separation, oil stabilization, produced water system, gas compression and dehydration, water injection).
• Experience and interest in working with Process Safety.
• are theoretically sound with a good deal of practical understanding
• are well familiar with International codes and standards, materials, specifications, calculations and datasheets
• should have experience in handling projects independently and as a project leader
• are professionally committed and have good interpersonal skills
• are fluent in written and spoken English
• have an out-going personality, are independent, and can take on responsibility
• are service minded and work with a good drive.
• Are familiar with working as a leader of a team in all respects.
• Have knowledge of LEAN
