A Major Contractor requires a Senior Piping Engineer to join the team in Abu Dhabi on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will provide qualitypiping engineering support to the project in a common and consistent manner for Brownfield modification projects and for any Greenfield projects during FEED and detailed design phases. Accountable for delivering Piping work scopes in accordance with the agreed work plans and schedules.

• Assist in the preparation of CTR’s and man-hour estimates via the company Management System.
• Execute technical duties in a competent and professional manner in accordance with company procedures.
• Ensure work is completed on Schedule and within budget.
• Ensure project deliverable are generated via the company Management system.
• Review and check the work of design team.
• Liaise with other disciplines on design, construction, fabrication and commissioning issues.
• Provide engineering and technical direction for design personnel.
• Be familiar with the company HSE Operating System and Policy.
• Prepare engineering concepts and issue into detail design.
• Review and comment on vendor information and assist with inspection and testing.
• Carry out single and inter-discipline checks and reviews.
• Attend meetings as and when required.
• Carry out onshore/offshore survey and answer site queries.
• Assist procurement andproject engineering personnel in the procurement of equipment and materials.
• Must be willing to make regular business trips in theGulf region.
The successful candidate will have:
• To be familiar with the company HSE Operating System and Policies.
• Conversant with local regulatory environment, and standard offshore international and national industry standards and specifications.
• Good communication, networking, collaboration and well developed team-working skills.
• Experience with supervision and developing potential in others.
• Overall understanding of entire technical value chain integration including estimating, studies, conceptual and detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning, operation, maintenance, inspection, testing and repair
• Proven experience in an Engineering position.
• Fully conversant with local regulatory environment, and standard offshore international and national industry standards and specifications.
• Previous Design knowledge and offshore survey experience.
• Knowledge of PDMS would be an advantage.
• Ideally degree-qualified, however alternative qualifications / experience will be considered. i.e. HNC / HND
