Progressive are recruiting for a successful international oil and gas explorer based in Perth. With a growing Australian focus, we are currently sourcing a Data Management Technician with considerable expertise to join an exceptional small team based in Perth. The successful candidate will report to the head of Data Management.
Main Responsibilities:
* Data clean up, data consolidation, data loading for well & 2D / 3D seismic data using landmark Openwork & Seisworks
* Ensuring consistency of data between Landmark and in house software.
* Extorting & compiling data for data packages to internal and external clients.
* A variety of tasks including subsurface mapping, database information management, gridding, geological reporting, data loading and Geoscience analysis.
*Troubleshooting software / data problems.
Requirements:
* Must be a Permanent Resident of Australia & based in Perth
* ESSENTIAL - Geoscience Degree (Geology or Geophysics) Oil & Gas related not MINING & RESOURCES
* At least 5 years industry experience in a similar role (oil & gas)
* Previous experience & capability in Landmark application support & data management.
* Strong UNIX skills with some basic experience in shell scripting
* Good understanding of relational database technology and basic SQL.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, strong excel
*Excellent verbal & written communication skill
