A Major Contractor requires a Lead Instrument and Systems Engineer to join the team in Abu Dhabi on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will provide Instrument and Systems Engineering and support and input into the ongoing Engineering Services Contracts currently being run from the Abu Dhabi office.
The successful candidate will provide Instrument and Systems Engineering and support and input into the ongoing Engineering Services Contracts currently being run from the Abu Dhabi office.
The successful candidate will:
• Coordinate all Instrument and Systems activities and work as requested by the Technical Manager and Engineering Manager.
• Support Instrument and Systems Engineering, Construction, Material and Equipment selection activities as required.
• Provide leadership and decision making for Instrument and Systems engineering work carried out in the Middle East region.
• The direction, control, supervision and co-ordination of all Instrument and Systems engineering work to ensure timely and consistent delivery.
• Ensure that Instrument and Systems engineering work is managed and executed in accordance with the agreed budget and plan.
• Development and coaching of Instruments and Systems engineering team.
• Effective networking throughout the organization to ensure best practice utilization.
• Be a Safety Leader and promote HSEQ awareness to all engineering and support personnel
The successful candidate will have:
• Sound knowledge of instrument and systems engineering methodologies relating to FEED, detail design and construction/commissioning within the offshore and onshore oil and gas industry.
• Good understanding of Automation and Control.
• Cost, Estimating and Change Control
• Excellent Oral and Written Communications
• Needs to be good at communicating with customers
• Negotiation skills
• Influence and Persuasion
• Extensive experience of Engineering Procedures, Processes and Working Practices.
• Proven Brownfield Engineering experience
• Overseas Engineering experience an advantage
• Experience of leading and managing teams of engineers and designers
• Chartered Engineer preferred
