[Job] SENIOR ROCKY MOUNTAINS GEOLOGIST

Gather, analyze and interpret varied geological data to formulate development and exploration projects to be funded by the company. Conceive, manage and execute several projects simultaneously. Provide expert structural, stratigraphic and other geological interpretation to ongoing projects, utilizing state of the art software and analysis techniques. Produce large amounts of quality geologic work to support operation efforts and reservoir studies in producing properties and acquisition/deposition efforts.

Undertake regional analysis as appropriate to add new work areas to project portfolio and extend the boundaries of existing areas of operation. Identify geological relationships critical to the effective integration of multidisciplinary information into practical working interpretations, especially those involving geophysical personnel. Apply risk analysis parameters to all work efforts. Effectively communicate the results of work to management, especially any new ideas or those that challenge the status quo. Work independently as needed or in team context as appropriate. Mentor and develop support and younger staff and search out opportunity for staff advancement. Lead teams as appropriate.

Details Specific to this Job :
Degree in Geology or Geophysics
10 to 25 years industry experience as a prospecting geologist, primarily in US onshore Rocky Mountain basins
Proven record as a prospect generator and hydrocarbon finder
