Our client is multinational marine consultancy services for port & ship design, ship construction, shipyard planning and marine-based cargo logistics.
They now entering Indonesia market and would looking for talented person as Marine Project Manager
Requirements:
• Develop new business in the marine consultancy field
• Focus on continuous improvement in work quality
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Required to travel if required by the project

1. LIST OF MAIN TASKS:
• Business development responsibility
o Awareness of the capability of the various divisions company, their activities and company strategy for business development
o Always be on the lookout for new business opportunities through tenders, news articles and client interaction
o Conduct meetings with clients to develop business and new relationships
o With existing clients, he shall look for avenues to obtain further business and shall update the common marketing data base with the latest information pertaining to such clients
o He shall respond to enquiries by preparing proposals containing work scopes and quotations
o Develop and implement necessary systems and tools for an efficient management of customer relationships.
o Continuously improve and develop market communication tools such as brochures, website, banners, etc.
o Keep the AVP apprised of client communication and enquiries
• Engineering (as per the Manager’s qualifications and experience)
o Complete a wide variety of engineering assignments including but not limited to the design and analysis of coastal marine developments including wharfs, harbors, sea walls, quay walls, breakwaters, dredging, reclamation and ground strengthening.
o Awareness of design standards and their applicability
o Planning, managing various surveys, topographic, bathymetric, geo-technical, etc. Use of survey data for design of projects
o Awareness of hydraulic modeling
o Application of engineering principles to manage / complete engineering assignments relating to material handling for port projects
o Managing technical aspects of project delivery including design work, technical report writing, supervision of drawing production, project progress reporting, contract documentation and quality assurance.
o Submission of projects on time, within budget, to an agreed quality, and to safety and environmental requirements
o Project estimation, preparation of BOQs and budget preparation
o Project scheduling and management of construction work
• Planning and conducting marine feasibility studies
o Planning and conducting of marine feasibility studies as required by the client. Each study may include but not be limited to a traffic assessment, planning of facilities, estimation of costs and assessment of the financial and technical viability
o Prepare high quality reports with graphical illustrations/charts as required
o Conduct work in accordance with principles of good consulting practices
o Implement documentation and filing procedures as per company standards
o Raise invoices upon completion of tasks as per the contractual agreement and follow-up for payments
o Ensure that the resources assigned are utilized optimally by assessing the project requirements and planning the work properly
o Execution of projects within the specified time frame and the assigned budget
o Proactive to envisage likely problems and take early corrective action
• Administrative Work and Human Resource Management
o Responsible for overseeing administrative work and the general functioning of the team reporting to him
o Liaise with the AVP for reporting of financial results for the projects & resources under his management.
o Delegate tasks to a degree necessary to ensure maximum efficiency and utilization of the group’s professional expertise
o Conduct regular appraisals of the staff under his management
o Employ new staff based on requirements agreed with the AVP
