[Vacancy] Senior Drilling Engineer - Deepwater

This is a great opportunity to join a fast growing organization as a Senior Drilling Engineer. You will be responsible for well design, planning, cost estimating, execution, stewardship and review of deepwater/shallow water exploration and appraisal wells. This Houston-based position will focus on operated and non-operated offshore exploration wells outside the US (Colombia and Brazil) as well as other countries including the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. Will require significant international travel, mostly to South America. Candidate must be eligible to work in the US.

Requirements:
•Offshore well design
•Oversee planning, design and implementation of drilling operations
•Work with team regarding exploration, drilling and construction development
•Prepare drilling programs and activity with responsibility for cost control and estimates, contract/bid review and logistics and well planning
•Coordinate drilling activity with appropriate departments
•Identify equipment and services needed to complete projects and assemble detailed AFE’s
•Participate in the resolution of problems arising during project implementation
•Identify and implement best practices in offshore drilling operations, either deepwater or shallow water, in any field location and monitor effectiveness
•Identify and implement performance improvement initiatives and monitor effectiveness
•Working knowledge of government regulations and permitting requirements.

Knowledge of Spanish is a bonus.
