Brunel is currently recruiting for the following roles.

AREA LEAD- UTILITY, OFFSHORE, OFFSITE & JETTY (Papua New Guinea)

• Ideal Candidate must have high level of Gas Plant ConstructionGas Plant Construction/ Commissioning Project • Located outside of Port Moresby (Papua New Guinea)- Gas Plant Camp • 2 years residential contract • Target Start Date: Approximately March 2011


CONSTRUCTION SENIOR ENGINEERS (Ulsan, Korea)
• Engineering degree in appropriate engineering subject or equivalent experience. • Minimum 5 years experience in the design of offshore oil and gas facilities. • Korean offshore fabrication yard experience. • LNG project experience. • Familiar with Australian code requirements

All of the tasks below pertain to the items associated with a given Group of assigned modules.

• Establish a good working relationship with the Contractors engineering, design and production personnel, maintain good communications with the design and engineering counterparts in the Contractors organization. • Take a proactive role, as directed, in assisting site Engineers in the performance of their respective duties. • Assist Fabrication Manager – Module Group in ensuring that the design office satisfies Contractor design deliverable requirements. • Pursue and clarify both Gorgon design and Vendor documentation as requested by Discipline Engineers and Senior Site Team Members (STM). • Assist Fabrication Manager – Module Group in site management of Early Warning Notices (EWN) and subsequent Project Deviation Notices (PDN). To actively participate in (also acting as site focal point with design group) the site control of multi-discipline PDNs. • Maintain site P&ID Master file on behalf of Fabrication Manager – Module Group. • Provide site reports on the status of PDN’s, Site Queries (SQ) and Site Instructions (SI) as requested and assist in maintenance of Site Registers for same. • Assist the Piping Engineer in the review of Contractor submitted Hydrotest packages. • Provide assistance to the QA Engineer with maintaining the Lifting/Mechanical Handling Equipment Register. • Report daily to the Fabrication Manager – Module Group. • Provide input to project reporting. • To have read and be familiar with the Site Execution Plan and procedures and to work within the guidelines. Provide suggestions and input to improve procedures and work practices. • To act at all times as a member of the site team, take part in site meetings as directed and keep other members of the site team informed of problems and areas of concern. • Take an active role in planned and ad hoc audits of the Contractor’s engineering and construction processes. • Participate in safety inspections and audits of Contractor’s fabrication and erection facilities.


SUBSEA ENGINEERING MANAGER (Ulsan, Korea)

• Must have handled a minimum of 2 Riser/ Mooring and Installation Projects. • Must have in depth understanding of costings, tender and bids process. • Must have handled tenders for FSO, FPSOs and other similar large scale projects. • Must have worked in Asia. • Candidates should have design, engineering and project management skills gained within subsea, mooring systems, umbilicals and flowlines. • Ideal candidates must have 10-15 years experience required. • Position will review bids, responsible in scrutinizing/ verifying costs; Review technical packages, review installation methodology and schedule and work with the company’s bid team in securing new projects.


SURF ENGINEERS (Singapore)

• Asian Nationals. • 3 Positions are required. • Must have high familiarity with rigid and flexible pipeline and riser integrity analysis and monitoring. • Must be able to provide expert advice of engineering designs for mooring, flowlines, risers and umbilicals. • Minimum 5-10 years experience in handling subsea projects.

Work Scope:
Provide high quality technical support through the supervision of others at tender and project stages for:
• Definition of flexible pipe structures & accessories. • Assessment of flexible pipeline and riser behavior through numerical analysis. • Design of terminations for flexible products. • Assistance to other disciplines for the design of permanent and temporary works (clamps / buoyancy / ...) and the development of installation procedures. • Supervise the quality of the engineering activities related to the discipline within all design activities whilst also ensuring that the relevant design rules (API, DNV, NORSOK) and procedures are complied with. • Discuss, determine and engineering design mooring, flowline, riser and umbilical design environmental criteria with client. • Assist Project Manager to coordinate interface with SURF equipment supplier/manufacturer. • Advise the project team on SURF requirements and matters related to the subcontracting, engineering, scheduling, supply and construction. • Performing flexible pipe design for risers and flowline systems. • Carrying out dynamic slender system analysis integrated with floater . • Interfacing with other engineering disciplines, liaising with different team for projects will be key as success and first class conclusions of work are a must . • Providing technical support and assistance during the manufacturing process .


FLOWLINE/ PIPELINE ENGINEERS (Singapore).

• 2 Positions are required. • Asian Nationals. • Must be highly familiar with subsea installation design (API, DNV & Norsok). • Main duties include but are not limited to:
Perform Pipeline engineering & analysis activities. Some of these activities include pipelines, flowlines from conceptual work to installation and operation.
Involve from day one in preparation of specifications, or review materials, protection coatings, cathodic protection/ CP, fabrication, installation and final welding.
Carry out engineering investigations, studies, designs and cost estimates.
Raise System Improvements.
Assist in the development of SURF Project Team.


INSTALLATION AND PROJECT ENGINEERS (Singapore)

• 2 Positions are required. • Must be highly familiar in writing installation detailed procedures • Strong Engineering background capable of representing the company to its clientele • Project Management experience is a must

Work Scope:
• The ideal candidate will have experience of writing detailed procedures (details of the work steps, etc), the installation of I-tubes, electric Cable & offloading Line & system, riser/mooring system hook up, ‘Hands-on’ subsea pipeline & equipment Installation. • Determine the necessary equipment, resources and procedures for the safe, efficient and economical offshore installation of the company's systems and to be responsible of the technical success of such operations. • Ensure that the company’s installation conforms with the relevant legislation, standards and codes. • Contribute ideas & expertise for the development & improvement of company product, in installation and subsea matters. • Contribute to the selection of the optimum mooring and anchoring system, considering installation activities at early of bid. • Specify installation aids to be integrated in the design. • Prepare installation work spec. to be used to obtain quotes from potential clients. • Prepare spread & equipment list, operation planning etc for estimating department to calculate costs. • Prepare write up & qualifications for inclusion in offer to client. • Liaise with the engineering department to ensure that the mooring, anchoring and subsea system is optimized in terms of offshore installation. • Prepare installation work specifications summarizing requirements, tolerances, etc. • If the project is executed using company's vessel(s), prepare detailed installation manuals, together with the assigned site superintendent. • Be present at the offshore site to monitor / supervise the operations.


GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER (Singapore)

• Asian Nationals. • Engineering Degree (BSc with honours, MSc or equivalent) in Mechanical, Civil or geotechnical Engineering. • Knowledge and/or experience of anchor analysis & soil & pipe/structure interaction.

Be part of a specialist geotechnical discipline, servicing the geotechnical and trenching needs of our client.

Be a geotechnical focal point for tenders and projects.

Interpret and use offshore site investigation data and be able to integrate results into detailed design of subsea infrastructure.

Undertake detailed design and installation of gravity base, piled & suction piled subsea structures and evaluate/recommend reeled-pipe-lay initiation anchorages.

Evaluate geotechnical design issues in relation to pipeline design, including installation, in-place and decommissioning.

Understand general geotechnical issues and evaluate any associated financial / safety / quality implications to the company.

Act as Offshore Representative on site/route investigations and on trenching campaigns.

Contribute to internal R & D activities relating to soil/structure and/or pipeline interaction.
