A Major Oil Operator requires a Quality Coordinator to join the team in Qatar on a permanent basis.
The Quality Coordinator is responsible to provide the Facilities Engineering Department with:
The Quality Coordinator is responsible to provide the Facilities Engineering Department with:
1. Practical, value-adding quality control advice and service.
2. Facilitate a consistent and simplistic approach to quality control to reduce risk to the business.
3. To develop and improve the existing Quality Control Standards, Procedures and Guidelines.
4. Manage onshore and offshore QC personnel effectively.
5. Co-ordinate inspections to ensure compliance to company requirements.
6. To provide assistance (when requested) on Quality Control.
7. Comply with applicable safety instructions and other Company procedures, both onshore and offshore.
8. Make sure that assessments of safety, economic impact and technical importance are performed whenever required. Due diligence shall be observed and initiative taken to secure the best result.
9. Treat all information, both written and spoken, obtained in the course of the work with confidentiality.
10. Carry out work in compliance with:
• Company and department values and policies
• Relevant laws and regulations
• Applicable contracts
11. Actively monitor work progress such that risks and problem areas are identified, reported and solutions identified.
12. Timely completion of assigned projects and tasks.
13. Bring forward suggestions for improvements in time and cost within the areas of responsibility.
14. Undertake any other work and responsibilities as per separate instruction from the Head of Quality.
Education and Experience
• College diploma in engineering subject or similar education.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant onshore and offshore oil & gas experience.
• Recognized inspection qualifications, e.g. CSWIP, AWS, ASNT, BGAS, NACE, etc.
