An outstanding career opportunity has arisen for an experienced Geoscientist to join a growing E & P company in its Perth based office. The successful candidate will independently perform significant & broad ranging technical assignment requiring a high level of geophysical & overall Geoscience expertise. Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the evaluation of the prospective of assigned areas, through the interpretation of geological & geophysical data
* Prospect generation & well proposals
* Assist in the development of new play concepts & develop these to drilling
* Seismic interpretation & sequence stratigraphic using both log & seismic data
* Attend & participate in internal & JV / Government meetings
* Assist in the preparation of budgets for project areas
Requirements
* Degree in Geophysics / Geology
* Minimum 10 years oil & gas industry experience
* Broad knowledge of the principles & practices of basin & play analysis and prospect generation.
* Good understanding of exploration risk & uncertainty assessment principles & practice
* Proficient geological knowledge to be able to think laterally
* Good level of technical expertise in seismic interpretation
* Highly developed project planning skills displaying sound judgment analysis.
* Ability to work autonomously, combined with flexibility to demonstrate strong team participation & coordination ability
* Excellent communication, both written & verbal
