A medium sized operating company is looking for a Sr Completion Engineer to support their CO2 development team focused on fields in West Texas.
• Provide supportive supervisory oversight of the execution of such well work.
• Provide detailed project cost estimates and AFE’s, as required.
• Provide technical assessment of wellbore integrity of existing TA’d and PA’d wellbores.
• Initiate performance optimization studies involving workover and completion strategies.
• Provide technical due-diligence regarding potential acquisition of new fields with the ongoing objectives as needed.
• The job is based in Houston, but candidate must be willing to spend 15% to 25% time in the field.
• Provide technical solutions in wellbore construction of down hole hardware, cementing, perforating, and stimulation in a CO2 environment.
• Individual will support well operations for 2-5 rigs on a daily basis. Consist of writing procedures, monitoring and supporting rig activities. Individual will work closely with well operations group, located in Midland, and must be willing to support as needed.
• 10+ years of experience within completions and/or production engineering discipline, with experience in secondary/tertiary floods and high level of field exposure.
• Solid experience and expertise with oil production diagnostics, design and optimization, including well stimulation, artificial lift (downhole and and surface) and wellbore construction.
