Topside Structure Engineer
Education: University degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
Topside Structure Engineer
Education: University degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
Experience:
· Minimum of 15 years experience in Oil and Gas facility engineering / design / construction, including at least 5 years in FEED and EPC of offshore facilities including FPSO
· Experienced in FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication and construction/installation of large size module structure in onshore and offshore facilities including FPSO
· Experienced in development and review of technical specifications, drawings, data reports, and other documentation such as technical requisitions
· Experienced in preparation of technical bid packages and evaluation of technical bids
· Experienced in working in major exploration & production companies or EPC contractors
· Knowledge of industry standards and codes (quality, safety and others) applicable to FPSO
· Familiar with project safety management
· Having the flexible mind and sparing no pains to implement the Services
Basic Job Requirements:
Oversee topside structure design to support achievement of project targets on time, on budget, and with high quality & safety; and responsible for system’s technical reliability and its integration in the overall facility
1.Topside Structure Design
ü Review/check and evaluate FEED Contractors’ structural design for equipment structure and pipe racks etc on topside
ü Ensure that topside steel structure meet industry quality standards as well as regulatory requirements
ü Verify and evaluate design integrity of work and to ensure that FEED Contractors’ proposed solutions are technically sound
ü Ensure that final design is in line with client’s specifications along with project documentation
ü Identify scope and develop specifications for EPC phase based on approved final design
ü Create inspection strategy for topside structure design
ü Identify scope and develop specifications for EPC phase based on approved final design for static equipment
ü Evaluate FEED deliverables of Multi FEED for topside structure
ü Monitor and control progress of Multi FEED for topside structure
ü Assess local content for structure
2. Technical Assurance and Integrity
ü Review design calculations, drawings and simulation models in order to verify accuracy of deliverables for topside structure design
3.Contractor Management
ü Ensure that FEED Contractors provide proper progress reporting and complete documentation for topside structure design
4.Planning, Costs and Risk Management
ü Provide and regularly update work plan; schedule and milestones; cost estimates for topside structure design to Sr. Mechanical Engineer
ü Inform possible delays and budget overruns to Sr. Mechanical Engineer and recommend appropriate solutions; ensure that Contractor implements solutions approved by Sr. Mechanical Engineer
5.Development and Leadership
ü Ensure behaviors, performance, and resourcing of own team support Masela’s goals, company policy and standards
ü Participate in business planning, budgeting, systems integration, peer reviews, and other initiatives as required
ü Encourage continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
ü Any other activities as requested to support Client success
Other:
· Reporting to Sr. Mechanical Engineer
· Command of the English language written and spoken
· Ability to mentor and develop less senior personnel especially Indonesian nationals
