Our client is looking for a Senior Project Manager for a permanent position.
Responsibilities:
To provide overall technical expertise of the construction project life cycle.
Utilizes past experiences and training to coordinate / direct the efforts of the project team prior / during the bidding, planning, mobilization, execution and demobilization phases.
Ensuring the safe, reliable and effective performance that will contribute to total client satisfaction.
Leads and assists in the construction project scope of work, clarification and description with client and project team.
Acts as the focal point / link between the client and team ensuring details and expectations are clear and understood.
Ensures that all manpower / tools / equipment / materials and facilities; overall project resources are aligned and committed.
Involved in the selection of the project superintendent and foreman, acts as a resource on all project activities providing coaching / mentoring to supervisory staff and champions issue resolution; internal and external with the client, involving contract safety, quality control, schedule and performance concerns.
Monitors project activities, ensuring compliance to client safety and policy and procedure guidelines.
Ensures that all invoicing, accounting and payroll reporting and monitoring systems are in place and adhered to, enabling the accurate daily progress reporting and budget / estimate status.
Tracks and reports to client on change orders that will adversely affect project budget and schedule.
Informs District Manager on progress and overall performance.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Estimator, Planner / Scheduler, Superintendent, Foreman

Qualifications:
High school diploma.
Post secondary certification diploma or degree from an accredited college, university or technical school in a relevant discipline.
Journeyman apprenticeship training and certification, professional development from an accredited professional construction industry association.
Certified Engineering Technologist, Engineer in training, Professional engineer.
5-10 years proven proficiency in an industrial or commercial work environment in a senior supervisory or project coordination capacity.
Excellent technical, planning, organization, communication and leadership skills. Formalized supervision and project management process training is considered an asset.
