ENGINEERING JOBS
We are currently looking to fill the role of a drill and blast engineer. Reporting to a Chief Mining Engineer, this role will be suited for a Mining Engineer with some practical experience and provides the designs and supporting data for the drill and blast process. This role works with the Drill and Blast, Mine Planning, Survey and Geology teams to ensure effective implementation of the latest blast designs and improvement projects.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities include:

- Blast Designs
- Blast vibration monitoring and analysis
- Blast optimization/studies - trials etc
- Loading and initiation recommendations
- Drill data analysis
The successful candidate must possess the following:
- Degree in Mining Engineering or Mining related field
- Mining experience in an open cut operation
- Drill and Blast Engineering/Planning/technical support experience
- Exposure to multi-pit and multi element mining operations (desirable)
- Good understanding of the mining process
- Mine design software skills (Surpac desirable)
