Vacancy: Senior Instrument Engineer

We are looking at appointing a Senior Instrument Engineer with experience of Design, Installation and Commissioning for an Oil and Gas Operator in Norway,

The project is an oilfield located in the southeast part of the North Sea, The field has previously been in production, but was closed down about a decade ago but has been granted new license for production. The field is constructed with a jackup production facility that will be placed on a storage tank on the seabed and a subsea facility 12 km away. The ocean depth in the area is between 77 and 93 meters.
The objectives of the position will be to Provide Instrument and Control expertise within the project including especially involving follow up of engineering contractor, ensuring design, installation and completion complies with Norwegian rules and regulations. It will also include follow up of relevant construction activities where required to ensure timely delivery and compliance with relevant regulations

We are looking for a strong well rounded Instrument Engineer with experience ideally with an operator although strong offshore skills with an EPC will also be considered, candidates with experience of floating production facilities are preferred but fixed offshore units will be considered.

The post is advertised to last until September 11 but it is highly likely it will continue until 2012.
