Senior Drilling Engineer - Perth - 12/18month Contract - Operator

An exciting position has just become available for an operator based here in Perth.

They are starting a drilling campaign and will be taking on board a senior drilling engineer as part of the planning stage. The start date will be late June of 2011.

It is expected that you will meet all of the requirements listed below

Requirements:
- bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent
- minimum 10 years experience as a drilling engineer
- long reach/ERD experience
- previous experience working on shallow water projects
- experience working from and planning around jack up's
- multilateral/sidetrack operations experience
- completions experience would be advantageous but not a requirement

This is a contract role and will be for a period of 12-18months. Day rate will vary depending on experience with the client offering $1750-$2000/d.

Individuals are expected to be knowledgeable and experienced in the oil and gas industry so that they are able to step into the role and work autonomously with minimal supervision. Along with this autonomy will be the expectation of completing all set tasks to the highest standard.

You will ultimately be responsible for a team of engineers.
