Job Description
I.REQUIREMENTS
1.At least Bachelors degree in structural engineering from a famous university. Major in Oil & Gas Engineering is highly desired.
2.Has at least 8 years experience in Oil & Gas Engineering as a Structural Engineer/Leader in Oil & Gas Engineering Company
3.Has at least 5 years experience as a Senior Structural Engineer/ Structural Engineer in Offshore Oil & Gas Platform & Pipeline Projects.
4.Must be structural Engineering Team Leader in at least 2 successful projects in FEED/Detailed Design for Offshore Oil &Gas Platform
5.Has experienced in detail engineering of offshore platform which should be included in-place analysis, fatigue analysis loadout and transportation analysis.
6.Has knowledge of offshore installation of Jacket/ topsides.
7.Excellence in structural engineering problem solving
8.Capable of using English well in work and communication
9.Capable of using softwares relating to structural engineering as SACS/ STAAD Pro/ GRLWEAP/ SAP and the standard office software like MS Office.
10.Good communications skills
11.Good organization and management skill/ leadership
12.Has training skill and has ability to train/transfer his/her knowledge to other engineers
13.Has knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and other international standards relate to Structural and Oil & Gas Engineering.
II.JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities of Senior Structural Engineer shall be included, but not limited to:
1.Prepare Structural Work Instructions
2.Supporting Engineering Manager in preparing Engineering Procedures and Engineering Execution Plan
3.In charge for teaching/training/instructing/knowledge transferring of engineering work for structural engineers in Company/Project.
4.Establish database and library for Oil and Gas Structural Engineering/ Designing
5.Supports Engineering Manager in setting up a plane for development of engineering capabilities in company in 10 years look ahead.
6.Set up the training plan to develop the structural engineering skill/ experience for other engineers to make sure that they can perform the Conceptual Design/ FEED/ Detail Design
7.To manage and control all structural engineering works and assigned personnel to ensure that, the personnel perform proper works, the works complete with budget and schedule for company's actual projects.
8.Perform engineering conceptual, FEED and detail design and calculations. Initiates and reviews material lists, data sheets, specifications and design reports.
9.Initiate and review enquiry, evaluates quotations and prepares bid technical tabulations and recommendation.
10.Provides technical assistance on site during fabrication, hook-up, commissioning and start-up as required.
11.Function as lead structural engineer when nominated by engineering department manager/ section head.
12.Technically assist Procurement Department in project bidding, procuring equipment, materials and services relating to Structural discipline
13.Establish contact with client and client third parties to ensure their requirements are understood and communicated to all
14.Perform other related structural engineering works as requirement of Engineering Department Manager.
