Our client, the World leading Oil and Gas company, currently has immediate vacancy for experienced and committed person for a position as:

 

Senior Contract Engineer
(Jakarta Raya, Kalimantan Timur) 

 

Responsibilities:

• To coordinate and control overall contract process matters and administration following the Company policies on safety and environment as well as its codes and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
• To control and develop overall process of contracting and sourcing aspects in coordination with Project Management Team, User entities related & Governmental Bodies.
• To ensure the quality and efficiency of procurement process in line with the project goals in terms of time, cost, safety, and compliance.
• Giving advice to Project Management concerning contractual issues (especially conditions and obligations) affecting the outcome in term of financial, legal and scheduling aspects. 
• To detect (anticipate with Project & Estimating team) variations & changes to the contract, and follow up claims and final account until settlement and contract close out
• To standardize and control the content of tender, contract documents and agreement compliant with Company policies and Government regulations to accommodate all the project needs.
• Support and actively participate in process of closing report for each project to ensure the contract termination are done properly and has completed the pending obligations.
• To give recommendation and decisions on project contracts, inspections and service contracts.
• Reporting to: Head of Project Contract & Control.

Requirements:

• Min 10 years experienced with strong knowledge of tender, contracts within oil and gas industry, especially in projects for construction of oil and gas in area of project management as project, construction and contract engineer.
• Good understanding in project / construction aspects in Oil and Gas business. 
• Possess Know-how on common procurement process (preparation and evaluation), including applicable regulation commonly applied in Indonesia 
• Know-how on interpreting and evaluating the contractual clauses  in term of liability and risks vs. the contractual arrangement.
• Having knowledge of measuring, monitoring and evaluating project performance in respect of contractual obligation.
• Knowledgeable in procurement guideline, mainly of PTK – 007 (Procurement Guidelines from BPMIGAS).
• Familiar with application of CONTIKI and UNISUP.
• Conversant with FIDIC contract conditions or others international standard of contracts is an advantage. 
• Possess technical knowledge of Engineering, Project management, computer literate, HSE policy.
• Having financial/budget and commercial awareness.
• Bachelor Degree in these Engineering majors : Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or other equivalence from reputable university.
• Internationally Certified as Procurement Professionals by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) from United Kingdom
• Related working experience in UK is preferable.
