We are looking for candidates currently available in India for the position of an Assistant Chemist in a Power Plant in Qatar.
Job Desription:
In general Assistant Chemist is responsible for monitoring and assurance of the quality of plant process chemistry. The Assistant Chemist reports his responsibility area to the Chemist.
Key Tasks:
– Carry out sampling activities (water, lube oil and emission).
– Preparing Laboratory reagent, standard solution and calibration of Laboratory Instrumentation.
– Operating Laboratory Instrumentation for Water, Oil and Emission analysis.
– Record keeping of Laboratory testing data and inventory of consumable (chemical reagent, lab ware and equipments).
– Monitoring, analyzing and controlling the performance of Water Treatment Plant, Cooling Water, Close Cycle Cooling Water and Waste Water Treatment Plant also other related chemistry process area.
– Controlling chemical dosage and consumption, recording and issue reports in accordance with respective Procedures.
– Monitoring Chemical Unloading activity.
– Maintaining HSE and 5 S in Laboratory.
Experience, Skills and Capabilities:
– The Assistant Chemist should possess appropriate qualifications (BSc in chemistry) and 5-10 years experience in the Laboratory and/or process chemistry.
– Able to think and solve problems logically.
– Ability to communicate in English (speak, read, write).
