ABOUT THE JOB: Reporting to the Head Development Section, the jobholder carries out conceptual studies to evaluate and recommend opportunities for expanding, upgrading and enhancing Takreer’s business and operations. The job requires the incumbent to participate in techno-economic studies to select optimum process scheme(s), prepare Statement of Requirements (SOR) for various projects and participate in the selection of appropriate consultants, engineering companies and licensors. The job is of a critical nature that requires technical knowledge related to process engineering technical support, feasibility studies, plant and project economics and plant operation and problem solving expertise. The incumbent should have an attitude for quick and clever judgement in finding correct and appropriate course of action and very good communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with professional engineering contractors, vendors, Government Authorities, Environment agencies, Universities and other entities. Purpose Of The Job: Leads and coordinates scoping, conceptual and techno-economic studies for major projects utilizing internal as well as external resources. Develops, finalizes scope for techno-economic studies by Consultants and Engineering companies and direct consultants activities to ensure works are carried out in accordance to the plans and within agreed schedule and cost. Develops and updates Takreer long-term development plans for new ventures and business lines. Liaises with various licensors to evaluate new technologies, catalyst and chemicals to improve plant configurations, reduce operating cost, improve plant flexibility and enhance product qualities. Provides specialized process engineering support to Engineering & Projects Division in developing design basis for new projects. Represents Takreer in studies, projects carried out by other ADNOC group of companies to discuss and coordinate integration, interface and synergy issues between various complexes and ensures Takreer requirements are met. Participates in research activities carried out by Government Authorities, Environmental Agencies, Universities and other entities. Prepares technical papers regarding Takreer business and achievements for presentation in various domestic and international symposium and seminars.

Job Description :	BSC in Chemical or Petroleum Processing Engineering Total of 12 plus years of experience out of which 5 years experience in process / operations with sound proven knowledge on pilot plant operations Basic Function: Coordinates and supervises on the pilot plant operation of diversified and critical in a safe and efficient manner to ensure smooth operations. Coordinates periodic checks, adjustments and maintains follow-up on all maintenance activities in pilot plants. Conducts studies and evaluations of new technologies on pilot plant and catalyst to contribute to TAKREER’s operation and research & development Develops new catalyst testing methods by cooperating with catalyst researchers, research institutions and catalyst suppliers.
