Job Vacancy - Development Geophysicist - Onshore Shale |


Responsibilities:

Analyze 2D and 3D seismic data to aid in identification of potential well locations and to provide guidance on geosteering of horizontal wells.

Analyze correlation between various seismic attributes and production to help identify areas to target and avoid.

Integrate results of new wells into interpretations. Incorporate learnings from regional studies generated by the Exploitation Team into the sub-regional analysis.

Work collaboratively with team members to integrate these analyses in generating Plans of Development for the respective area.

Mentor and develop less experienced staff

Qualifications:
Degree: Bachelors required, Masters preferred
Major Discipline: Geophysics
Years Experience Required: Minimum 7 years total industry experience
Travel Required: up to 10%

Computer Proficiencies: Intermediate PC skills are required in Microsoft desktop suites. Experience with Risk Analysis tools and techniques, Geographix, GIS, Landmark, and onshore data bank software suites are preferred.
