In Indonesia, INPEX is acting as Kontraktor Kontrak Kerjasama (KKKS) with BPMigas for many upstream projects since 1966. INPEX is the operator of Masela Block (Abadi project) offshore Maluku, Arafura Sea, Indonesia. INPEX is pressing ahead with technical and engineering studies of the Abadi field development for future commercial Floating LNG production

Currently we have a position open in our Jakarta office for a:

Petrophysicist (Code: SSD)
Jakarta Raya,

Responsibilities:
  • Support the more senior positions in the Subsurface Development in providing the more basic expertise in setting up subsurface data acquisition strategy and planning.
  • Provide basic expertise in the processes of petrophysic swork such as data acquisition processing, interpretation and related analyses.
  • Provide basic level expertise in the processes of compiling results of petrophysics studies and analyses in to optimize delination of a potential reservoir, calculation of hydrocarbon in place, reservoir management, and field development plans.
  • Provide basic expertise in supporting well proposals:
    • Provision of inputs (petrophysics field study, reservoir modeling and surveillance data) to support well location choice
    • Preparation of well proposal and completion requirements
    • In coordination with Head of Subsurface Data Management manage the processes of subsurface petrophysics data management.
    • Work with other professionals in the Geology department in establishing specifications for the tender process and/or vendor selections.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of Bachelor degree in science and/or engineering related to subsurface data studies and management
  • 7+ years with at least 4 years in the Oil and Gas industry - in the areas of subsurface data studies and management.
  • Computer Literacy and report writing skills. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office and related software
  • Able to work well in a multicultural team and having high motivation, discipline, dynamic with good personality
