ENGINEERING JOBS
Progressive Global Energy is looking for Human Factors Engineer Consultants open to a long term contract or contract-to-hire.
Education:
BS/MS in Industrial, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Human Factors, and coursework in Human Exertion, Accessibility, and Motion Studies. Supplemental coursework in Ergonomics, Biomechanics, Physiology, and Applied Psychology may be considered as well.
5+ Experience (Oil & Gas is highly-preferred)
Main Job Functions are:
Evaluating drawings and layouts: Reviews of many types are conducted to ensure that the proper spaces are provided in appropriate sizes for the number and variety of users and the work or activities to be conducted in the space. The evaluation process includes working with the design teams reviewing design models in two and three dimensions to ensure that the facility is fit for the user. Reviews may include internal designs as well as vendor hardware or existing client designs. Developing philosophies, plans, standards and tools: Philosophies and plans for the application of Human Factors to the current project are developed to suit the project and client needs.
Studies conducted by or with Human Factors participation include Project specific training; Valve Critical Analysis; Link Analysis; Escape, Evacuation and Rescue Assessment; Crane Operations Study; Control Room Study; Dropped Object Study; Manual Material Handling Study; and Process Hazard Analysis Study.
