Engineering Operations Manager

Mastermyne Engineering is a specialist division of The Mastermyne Group, providing mine consumables, fabrication, engineering and overhaul services to external underground mine operators while working in closely with the other Mastermyne divisions.

Due to an extremely strong market presence in Queensland’s Bowen Basin region and a growing presence in the Hunter Valley and Illawarra of NSW, the division has grown significantly in the past twelve months to a turnover of more than $15M.

As a result Mastermyne Engineering is currently looking for an Operations Manager to coordinate workshop activities.


Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the General Manager you will be responsible for:
  • Providing leadership in alignment with the Zero Harm goal of the business plan
  • Achieving compliance with engineering specifications and standards
  • Approving plans and specifications
  • Mentoring and employee development
  • Contributing to the development of long and short term business goals
  • Developing competitive tenders
  • Analyzing financial budgets and monthly reports           

Requirements
To be successful in the role it is essential you posses the following:
  • Tertiary engineering or trade engineering qualifications
  • Management or supervisory experience in an engineering or production workshop
  • Certificate or academic qualification in business or a related discipline
