Senior Drilling Engineer - Perth - 12 month Contract - Operator
An exciting position is opening for an operator based here in Perth as a senior drilling engineer. This Senior Drilling Engineer will be involved in the capacity of a lead engineer who will need to be involved in both the technical and mentoring aspects of the team. A background in Australian projects and knowledge about offshore Australian conditions will be highly beneficial.
It is expected that you will meet all of the requirements listed below
Requirements:
- bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent
- minimum 10 years experience as a drilling engineer working on offshore projects
- long reach/ERD experience
- recent Australian project work
- multilateral/sidetrack operations experience
- completions experience would be advantageous but not a requirement
This is a contract role and will be for a period of 12 months initially. Day rate will vary depending on experience with the client offering from $1500 AUD/d.
Individuals are expected to be knowledgeable and experienced in the oil and gas industry so that they are able to step into the role and work autonomously with no supervision. Along with this autonomy will be the expectation for completing all set tasks to the highest standard. Candidates must also be capable of communicating with higher management and working effectively in a team. You will ultimately be responsible for a team of engineers.
