This client in one of Australia’s fastest growing engineering consulting firms and works on major projects in a variety of industries, including Mining, Oil & Gas, Energy, Power, Water, Processing and Infrastructure sectors. Providing a full spectrum of EPCM services to these industries, the future of the company appears very bright and with multiple major project contracts in hand, they are able to offer security and challenges well into the future - work/life balance is a key attribute to this company!
The current requirement is for a Lead or Senior level estimator to join their Mining/Oil & Gas and Industrial division and work on major projects in QLD. A proven track record and high performance level working on major estimates for multi-million dollar projects will put you at the top of the list! Direct experience in EPCM projects in the mining, oil & gas and processing sectors will be a primary advantage. Specifically, you will be capable in the preparation of estimates at all stages of project development across all disciplines, leading teams on major capital works, both greenfield and brownfield projects.
Other competencies include:
  • Appreciation of the intricacies of estimate milestones and order of magnitude ratios
  • Ability to guide junior members of the team
  • High attention to detail
  • Technical understanding and knowledge of estimating function from an engineering consultancy perspective
  • Skill in estimating packages such as CostX and Hard Dollar and other IT software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
