Offshore Night Drilling Supervisor - Perth - Contract - Operator
A global operator is currently searching for a night drilling supervisor ready for their drilling campaign which begins late in 2011. Not only will the offshore night drilling supervisor be involved in one of the most exciting projects in WA but they will also be surrounded by a team of experienced engineers and managers.
Reporting to the day drilling supervisor, the night drilling supervisor will be responsible for assisting the execution of the drilling operations, supervising drilling contractors and ensuring a safe and environmentally conscious work site. An understanding of how to manager mud, fluids, cementing and pressure's is key.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in offshore oil and gas projects.
- 2+ years of experience as a night drilling supervisor
- Recent experience working on projects involving semi-submersible rigs
- Effective communication skills with an ability to interact with subordinates and managers at all levels
Candidates with a range of experience in global locations including deepwater experience is beneficial but is not essential. The initial contract will be 4-5 months and has the possibility of extension into projects in the South-East Asian region.
