A position has become available in PNG as Senior Project Planner. This is a fantastic opportunity working with one of the most exciting projects that APAC has seen. The role would be with a huge international. Please find a summary below.
Purpose of the role:
As senior project planner the main purpose of the role is to ensure a realistic plan is developed for the construction of a temporary village in PNG. The plan will take into account engineering, procurement and construction interfaces with correct resource allocation to all areas. The planner will also keep site management informed of progress as well as any issues that arise.
Duties include;
-Understand the extent of sub-contractors work
-Compilation of level 1, 2, 3 or 4 detail programs fully resourced together with associated progress S-Curves
-Be the lead person on site, both in leadership and technical capacity
-Ensure the project remains within planned hours and efficiencies
-Ensure the reporting procedures are adhered to
-Keep project maintained and up to date
-Apply for an extension for the project should any major delays occur
-Monitor labour costing on a weekly basis
The right candidate will have;
-Advanced skills with MS Project and Primavera Software
-Excellent decision making skills
-8 years + experience as project planner within construction industry
-Be able to compile level 1, 2, 3, or 4 detail programs with associated progress S-Curves
-Experience arranging daily progress reports
-Experience preparing back up data for construction activities
-Ability to prepare invoices
-Be able to schedule/plan
