McDermott International Inc. (MII) has engineering operations worldwide and are a global industry leader in the Oil & Gas offshore construction industry. MII has a significant presence in the Asia Pacific Region and McDermott Australia Pty Ltd (MAPL) is a wholly owned Australian subsidiary of MII, based in Perth & Melbourne.
MAPL is seeking applications for energetic, talented and mature minded Draftspersons to join our team in Perth. We have 2 positions available working on a large, high profile project in the Subsea Construction
and Installation space.
To be considered for these roles you must have the following experience:
•Good experience with structural type drawings
•Marine experience an asset but not essential
•5+ yrs exp
•3D experience i.e., AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
If successful in the role, you’re duties will include the following:
• Use AutoCAD and Microstation drafting packages to produce drawings as required by the project engineering office
• Use MS Office software, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel
• Perform complex drafting—related mathematical calculations
• Advise team members in the solution of difficult technical problems
• Liaise with other draftspersons to maintain schedules and complete assigned projects.
