QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
To be located in Brunei , on a one year contract basis but depending on performance renewable up to 3 years.
• PROJECT/ CONTRACT MANAGER ( PM).
Minimum 15 years with degree and experience in similar works able to lead in all aspects of Project Management.
The PM shall be fluent in the English Language, have an engineering background with at least 15 years experience in project management and Oil and Gas construction activities (mechanical/ civil) and have a recognized qualification, degree or similar.
He shall be responsible for the administration of all aspects of the CONTRACT, including, but not limited to:
1. Project Management
2. Engineering and construction aspects.
3. Installation
4. Commercial aspects
5. Resolution of disputes
6. Performance, including inter alia workmanship, productivity
7. Safety.
8. Manpower selection, qualifications and management.
9. WORK planning.
10. Maintenance of CONTRACT documentation, drawings and records.
11. All quality matters
• MECHANICAL FIELD ENGINEER.
Minimum 10 years experience apprenticeship.
The Mechanical Engineer shall have an engineering background with at least 10 years experience in project management and onshore construction and have a recognized qualification, degree or similar.
Requirements:
1. Be skilled in the fabrication and erection of pipe work, the general maintenance and repair of process and power plant. The setting up and leveling of equipment and the aligning of rotating equipment;
2. Be capable of interpreting engineering drawings and have a good knowledge of industrial quality and safety standards;
3. Be fluent in the English language (both spoken and written);
4. Be capable of supervising the artisans and performing any administrative work. Such activities may include but will not be limited to obtaining and renewing work permits, (e.g. Clearance Certificates, Fire Permits etc.), submitting daily time sheets, input required data for the COMPANY computerized engineering administration systems;
5. Have received an engineering apprenticeship or training in Mechanical Engineering and have had approximately six (6) years further suitable experience with a minimum of two (2) years satisfactory supervisory experience;
6.Be capable of organizing the WORKS to be carried out and co-coordinating with contractors Project co-ordinator and COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE on all aspects of the WORKS
• MATERIALS / PROCUREMENT COORDINATORS.
10 years experience must have shutdown and TA experience.
The Materials Coordinator shall have proven experience of at least ten (10) years to develop and manage the Site materials management system. He/she shall have much experience working on a construction site and preferably in a shutdown context.

• SCAFFOLDING SUPERINTENDENT.
Must be NVQ qualified as a minimum with scaffold inspector certificate.
Minimum 10 years experience must be able to carry out scaffolding design and calculations,
for the erection of scaffolds as are required to assist the overhaul of vessels, columns,
heat exchangers, spading, opening, closing, as well as small project activities, etc

• SCAFFOLDER SUPERVISORS
Requirements:
a. Scaffolding supervisors shall have not less than ten (10) years relevant experience in the scaffolding industry. He shall hold an advanced C.I.T.B or E.I.T.B. Certificate of training.
b. He shall be responsible to the CONTRACT MANAGER for supervision, co-ordination, and carrying out of scaffolding in connection with the WORK and shall be responsible for the workmanship, productivity, conduct and safety of the personnel. The Scaffolding supervisor shall be responsible for all aspects of design, erection and in-service maintenance and inspection of the scaffolding.
• SCAFFOLDER LEVEL 1
Requirements:
a. Have the full range of skills and certificates applicable to their trade for the Oil and Gas Industry, being skilled in the erection and inspection of such scaffolds as are required to assist the overhaul of vessels, columns, heat exchangers, spading, opening, closing, as well as small project activities, etc
b. Have a minimum of four (4) years suitable practical experience in oil refinery, gas, power or petro-chemical plant;
c. Have a working knowledge of the English language
• SCAFFOLDER LEVEL 2
Requirements:
a. Have the full range of skills and certificates applicable to their trade for the Oil and Gas Industry, being skilled in the erection and inspection of such scaffolds as are required to assist the overhaul of vessels, columns, heat exchangers, spading, opening, closing, as well as small project activities, etc. He shall hold an advanced C.I.T.B or E.I.T.B.

• ELECTRIC FIELD ENGINEER
Requirements:
The Electrical Field Engineer shall posses a BSc (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering and shall have eight (8) to ten (10) years experience in design/construction/
commissioning/ maintenance of H.V and L.V distribution systems including protection systems and explosion proof equipment. He must be able to speak, read and write good English (College level) .
• ELECTRIC ENGINEER
Requirements:
1. The incumbent shall have a minimum of 10 years professional experience in oil & gas facilities Electrical and Instruments design, construction and maintenance, and hold an appropriate technical qualification e.g. Degree, HND, or equivalent experience commensurate with the specific requirements of the WORK. He shall have knowledge of modern Electrical and instrument systems including DCS, PLC, F & G detection and metering systems.
2. The Electrical engineer shall be responsible for the following: -
- Providing specialist support in the areas of process measurement and control
- Supervision, planning and execution of electrical and instrument design activities associated with projects.
- Providing electrical & instrumentation engineering standards, drawings and procedures.
- Development of detailed contents of MC and PC packs, including tracking of works and completion thereof.
- Supervision of site installation and quality control of works.
• ELECTRIC INSPECTOR
1. Shall hold HNC in electrical/electronic engineering or City & Guilds electrical Technician Certificate.
2. Shall have minimum 10 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry in the area of electrical construction, commissioning and maintenance of certified electrical with 5 years as an electrical inspector.
• ELECTRIC TECHNICIANS.
Each technicians shall have passed the C and G 803 parts I and II or equivalent and shall have five (5) to seven (7) years experience in wiring of H.V/L.V control systems, installation of protection relays and CT‟s and explosion proof equipment. He must at least speak, read and write reasonably good English (upper secondary school level).
• SKILLED ELECTRICIANS .
Skilled Electricians shall have completed trade apprenticeship or trade school training to C and G 823 or equivalent level. They must be skilled and experienced in the use of all electricians‟ hand tools and in the use of measuring and testing equipment. They must have at least 5 years on the job experience of which two (2) years shall preferably in the oil and gas industry. . He must at least speak, read and write reasonably good English (lower secondary school level)
• MECHANICAL ENGINEERS
a. Shall hold an appropriate technical qualification e.g. Degree, HND, or equivalent.
b. Shall have an Engineering background with at least 10 years experience in Project Management and onshore construction in the Oil and Gas Sector with emphasis on Piping.
c. Shall be responsible for the fabrication operation and execution of all aspects of the Contract, including but not limited to: Engineering and construction aspects; Installation; performance, including inter alia workmanship, productivity; HSE implementation; WORK planning and execution; maintenance of drawings and records; all quality assurance and control implementation and mechanical completion.
• MECHANICAL FITTER
Requirements:
(a) have the full range of skills applicable to their trade in the Oil and Gas Industry including, but not limited to, being skilled in the repair and maintenance of refinery process and power plant, pumps, compressors, steam turbines, fans, hydraulic equipment and system etc., in the overhaul of valves (including safety relief and control valves) and of other mechanical equipment e.g. exchangers, columns, vessels and tanks, and in the alignment of running equipment;
(b) have a minimum of five (5) years suitable practical experience in oil refinery, gas, power or petro-chemical plant;
(c) have a working knowledge of the English language
• MACHINISTS.
Requirements :
(a) be able to work from drawings to produce parts, or make repairs to stationary and rotating equipment to a high level of accuracy and quality;
(b) be able to set up and operate any machine tool, including lathes, boring, milling, lapping, grinding, shaping and balancing machines;
(c) have a minimum of ten (10) years experience as a Machinist;
(d) have a sound knowledge and a familiarity with engineering drawings and sketches, as well as being fully conversant in English.
• CIVIL FIELD ENGINEERS
a. Shall hold an appropriate technical qualification e.g. Degree, HND, or equivalent.
b. Shall have at least 10 years practical site experience as a Civil Engineer in the oil and gas industry.
c. Experience shall include detailed planning for construction activities; preparation of construction packages detailing work scope and installation procedures; preparation of site sketches/drawings for issue to construction crews to aid design drawings; supervision of construction crews/teams in the execution of work; pre commissioning activities and preparation of job activities.
• PLANNING ENGINEERS / PLANNER
a. Shall hold an appropriate Technical qualification and have a minimum of five years practical experience in planning of minor and/or major onshore/offshore projects in the Oil and Gas industry.
b. Shall have knowledge of Planning software e.g. Primavera, Project Scheduler and P3E including Work Management System; Critical Path Analysis planning techniques and the preparation of project schedule;
Methods of effective presentation of planning and forecast data and information; Trend analysis and forecasting techniques ; Safety aspects of design in relation to the project cycle ; Quality Assurance and Control requirements of the design cycle, Quality Assurance and Control requirements of the design cycle,Contribute significantly to the preparation of level 3 "workpacks" or "job cards" in compliance with the contract requirements, Assess and determine actual physical progress, Develop recovery plan as and when required.
The salaries will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
• HSE OFFICER
a. Shall have experience in the oil and gas industry.
b. Shall have attended and passed a recognized course in the management of HSE in the contracting sphere and shall have a proven track record of at least 5 years as a HSE Officer, fluent in English and fully conversant with the COMPANY HSE Standards and Specifications .
Salaries will be commensurate with their qualifications and experience.
• QA/QC COORDINATOR / INSPECTOR
He/she shall be able to demonstrate to have sufficient knowledge and experience of petro-chemical projects. Has a minimum of 10 years experience in quality assurance and control role including supervision of QA/QC activities, with a solid Engineering background and CSWIP 3.2 or equivalent qualification. Shall also hold a recognised approved qualification in Quality, such as ISO 9000 lead assessor and certified to interpret RT film. Will have detailed knowledge of NDT techniques and welding and is a certified third party lead auditor.
A co-ordinator(s) will likely hold a HND or equivalent qualifications with minimum of Ten (10) years experience.Responsibilities will include (but not limited to) :
- development and implementation of the quality plan,demonstration of quality control of all "tools" that can affect quality, ref. Torque wrenches, Pressure Gauges, Callipers, etc., to be able to identify, develop and implement corrective actions,to approve and comment on welding procedures, and to generate welding instructors, to ensure smooth safe delivery of the Quality Plan.
• INSTRUMENTS FIELD ENGINEER
The Instrumentation field engineer shall possess an HND or equivalent and shall have eight (8) to ten (10) years experience in new construction and commissioning of Instrumentation works. He must be able to speak, read and write good English (College level)
• INSTRUMENTS INSPECTOR
a. Shall hold HND/HNC in measurement and control or equivalent qualifications.
b. Shall have minimum 10 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry in the area of construction, commissioning and maintenance of process instruments, with 5 years as an Instrument Inspector.
• QUANTITY SURVEYOR
a. Shall hold an appropriate technical qualification e.g HND or equivalent.
b. Shall have a minimum of three (3) years experience as a Quantity Surveyor with Oil and Gas experience in civil and mechanical.
c. Experience shall include: Quantity Surveying services during contract evaluation and administration; preparation of bill of quantity and cost estimate; Interpretation of contractual provisions within the contract; resolution of disputes assistance.
Salaries will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
• SENIOR SUPERVISORS
The Senior Supervisor shall possess approximately ten (10) years experience with a minimum of five (5) years satisfactory supervisory experience and received an engineering apprenticeship or training in Mechanical Engineering.
Responsibilities shall include:
a. Be skilled in the fabrication and erection of pipework, the general maintenance of process and power plant. The setting up and levelling of equipment and the aligning of rotating equipment;
b. Be capable of interpreting engineering drawings and have knowledge of industrial safety;
c. Be fluent in the English language (both spoken and written);

• SUPERVISORS
Requirements:

• WELDING INSPECTOR
Experience 10 years in Oil and Gas or related Industry with 5 years of which as Welding Inspector.
Requirements:
CSWIP - Senior Inspector 3.2 ,AWS - Certified Welding Inspector and CSWIP or PCN LII or ASNT LII in Radiographic Interpretation (Ferritic Steel) or CWB LII - Canadian Welding Bureau (AWS Equivalent ) and CSWIP or PCN LII or ASNT LII in Radiographic Interpretation (Ferric Steel or Equivalent),Knowledge in Inspection Methods/Techniques, QA/QC Principles and Standards, Knowledge in Quality Management System ISO 9000.
• PVC WELDER
a. Qualified and tested according to the Company Standards Specification 19.01, 61.6 and 6 GR.
b. Experienced in the use of tungsten arc, manual arc, gas and PVC welding and cutting techniques and other applications to ferrous and non-ferrous metal.
• BLAST / PAINT or COATING INSPECTOR
The Inspector shall be certified with NACE level 2 (National Association of Corrosion Engineers) or ERS Senior Paint Inspector Level II or equivalent as a minimum and shall have at least five (5) years experience in painting/coating inspection and in general five (5) years experience in coating application work which includes knowledge of surface preparations, paintings, protective coatings and wrapping.
The inspector is responsible for quality control and as such he shall have no direct responsibilities for production although he will work closely with the production team.
The Coating inspector shall be responsible for all protective coating HSE aspects. He will be allowed to act as Safety Officer only for the protective coating application team.He shall co-ordinate with the COMPANY's Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Division on all protective coating safety matters.
He shall be able to communicate and write fluently in English.
• COATING SUPERVISORS
The Coating Application Supervisor shall be certified with NACE level 1 or equivalent level and have at least two (2) years experience as Coating Application Supervisor. Further he shall have in general five (5) years experience in protective coating application work. He shall be well versed in the use of quality control instruments and spray application techniques of various types of paints. He shall be fully familiar with all surface preparation methods and the operation and maintenance of all related equipment used for this contract.
• SPRAY COATING
All spray coating applicators shall have had at least one (1) year suitable spray coating application experience and have a general work experience of two (2) years in protective coating application work. They shall have a thorough knowledge of the use of pneumatic tools, the mixing of paints and industrial application methods with all kinds of paint spraying equipment, such as airless and conventional spray units.
They shall be well experienced in spray painting. They shall be well versed in dismantling and cleaning the spray painting equipment and accessories
• COATING
All Coating Applicators shall have at least one (1) year suitable coating application experience in general two (2) year experience in coating application work. They shall have a thorough knowledge of and training in the use of pneumatic tools, at the mixing of coating application methods.
• PAINTERS
Fully experienced in painting preparation and protection of steel surfaces techniques using hand and mechanical EQUIPMENT by either brush, or rollers and painting to the respective standard operations contained in COMPANY'S Painting/Coating Application guide and Specifications ES-48.00 and Module 32, and be familiar with the safety requirements of painting.
• BLASTERS
(a) Fully experienced in grit blasting to a visual standard of SA 2 1/2 near white metal Swedish Standard SIS, handle and operate power tool cleaning, hand tool cleaning and solvent cleaning. Be familiar with the safety requirement of grit blasting.
(b) The blasters shall have at least 3 years suitable experience in shot blasting work using all types of abrasives including GMA garnet and glass beads. Each blaster shall be able to operate/connect shot-blasting equipment and air compressors.
(c) The blasters shall be able to shot blast any metal surface to any Swedish Pictorial Standard from SA 1 to SA 3.
(d) The blasters shall be to work in confined spaces, at heights or from suspended work platforms.
(e) In general the blasters shall have two (2) years of work experience in protective coating application work.
• BLASTER AND PAINTER SPRAY;
1. Blaster – B$ 23.00 per day (with 8 hours working time) from 0800 till 1700 hours, work beyond 8 hours normal (or beyond 1700) will be consider as overtime @ B$ 4.00 per hour
2. Spray Painter – B$ 21.00 per day (with 8 hours working time) from 0800 till 1700 hours, work beyond 8 hours normal (or beyond 1700) will be consider as overtime @ B$ 3.50 per hour
3. Blaster cum Spray Painter – B$ 30.00 per day (with 8 hours working time) from 0800 till 1700 hours, work beyond 8 hours normal (or beyond 1700) will be consider as overtime @ B$ 5.00 per hour
4. Wages will start count upon passing the BLNG plant HSE Induction course, i.e. start work in BLNG plant. And if unfortunately fail the BLNG HSE Induction course, we – SAHID will try our best to guard pass the HSE Induction with the maximum of 2 times re-sitting the examination.
5. The above mentioned working hours is only applicable to the BLNG plant working time.
Workable day : Monday to Saturday. Sunday & Public Holiday shall be consider as Overtime. Public Holiday shall follow Brunei Government cascaded
• STATIONARY EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN
Requirements :
a. Be skilled on the opening up, closing, removal and installation of stationary equipment such as vessel, columns, heat exchangers, filters, non-return valve, valves, sight glasses, safety/relief valves, control valves including repacking and lapping of various valves;
b. Be familiar with spading and de-spading of pipeline system and have basic knowledge of hydraulic system;
c. Be familiar with piping work such as flange sizes, stud-bolts, pressure setting and gasket materials;
d. Be capable of using tools such as torque wrenches and hydraulic bolt tensioning equipment;
e. Be fluent in spoken and written English.
f. Have industrial working experience in the process industry on similar work for at least four years;
g Have BTEC or City and Guild Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (desirable but not essential).
h. A minimum of 3 personnel are required to be certified in the use of Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• CONTROL VALVE TECHNICIANS
Requirements :
a. Have experience - at least ten (10) years, in the overhaul, setting and testing of all types of control valves, including but not limited to FISHER, MASONEILAN AND BETTIS control valves and actuators. He must have relevant experience and ability in the testing procedures, stroke adjustment and repair;
b. Have BTEC or City and Guild Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (desirable but not
c. Have industrial work experience on relevant types of control valves in overhaul and testing for a minimum of 4 years;
d. Be fluent in spoken and written English;
e. Preferably be capable of working with spare parts and maintenance history system;
f. Be capable of motivating and directing small teams of 2-4 fitter mechanics;
• SAFETY RELIEF VALVE TECHNICIANS.
Requirements :
a. Be experienced - at least ten (10) years, in the overhaul, setting and testing of all types of Safety Relief Valves, including but not limited to CROSBY, FUKUI, DRESSER, ANDERSON & GREENWOOD. He must have relevant experience and ability in repair and testing of Safety Relief Valves. He should be capable of working with inspectors and maintaining simple repair records systems. He should understand the principle of operation of Safety Relief Valves;
b. Have BTEC or City and Guild Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (desirable but not essential);
c. Have industrial work experience on relevant types of safety relief valves in overhaul and testing for a minimum of 4 years;
d. Be fluent in spoken and written English;
e. Preferably be capable of handling records systems;
f. Be capable of motivating and directing small teams of 2-4 fitter mechanics
• ROTATING EQUIPMENTS TECHNICIANS.
Requirements :
a.Have obtained National Certificate (BTEC) or equivalent City and Guilds Certificate in Mechanical Engineering Practices;
b. Be capable of overhauling rotating equipment such as centrifugal and reciprocating pumps, steam turbines, gear boxes and reciprocating compressors (including their piping system and structural support);
c. Be able to interpret drawings and manuals and have a good understanding of the functioning of each part of the equipment.
d. Be able to diagnose and correct intricate problems in turbine/compressor lube-, control- and seal oil systems and other hydraulic systems.
e. Be capable of selecting and using the correct tools, alignment equipment and materials;
f. Have good knowledge of industrial safety procedures;
g. Have a minimum of six (6) years practical experience in overhauling rotating equipment;
h. Be able to communicate in spoken and written English.
• RIGGERS
Requirements :
a. Have the full range of skills applicable to their trade in the Oil and Gas Industry including, but not limited to being skilled in the sizing and fixing of slings, chain blocks etc., giving clear control instructions to crane operators and in the erection of steelwork
b. Have a minimum of four (4) years suitable practical experience in oil refinery, gas, power or petro-chemical plant
c. Have a working knowledge of the applicable standards and the use and handling of :
- wire ropes/slings to BS1290, BS3317 and BS3481 , pulley blocks to BS3243 , shackles to BS3032, chain hoists to BS4898.
• INSULATION SUPERVISORS.
Requirements :
a. The Insulation Supervisor shall have received education up to Form 5 level and shall be able to speak, read and write in the English language. He shall have a proven record as a supervisor in Thermal and Cryogenic Insulation, the application of vapour barriers and Glass fibre Reinforced Epoxy, the mixing of chemicals for the formulation of Polyurethane Foam and the maintenance/installation of refractory bricks or mortar work and sheet metal work for at least Five (5) years. He shall be able to demonstrate his competence by passing a competence or trade test if so required by the COMPANY.
b. He should have knowledge of the latest revision of the CINI guideline and know how to apply the guideline for hot and cold insulation.
c. He shall be able to take measurements and be familiar with sheet metal equipment and make sketches for the fabrication of sheet metal work as well as being capable of installing the finished work
d. He must be capable of exercising firm control over his subordinates and must meet the stringent standards (QA/QC) required for insulation work.
e. He shall be well experienced in the operation and general maintenance of mechanical agitators and foaming machines, and in quality control procedures.
• INSULATOR / FABRICATORS.
Requirements :
a. The Insulators/Fabricators shall have received education up to Form 3 level and be able to speak, read and write in the English/Malay languages.
b. They shall have received a formal training or apprenticeship in their craft and shall be skilled in Sheet Metal Fabrication, the installation and repair of Thermal and Cryogenic Insulation, the application of vapour barriers and Glass fibre Reinforced Epoxy, the mixing of chemicals for the formulation of Polyurethane Foam and the maintenance/installation of refractory bricks or mortar work.
c. They shall be skilled in the installation/repair of sheet metal work. They shall be thoroughly familiar with all other work related to Thermal and Cryogenic Insulation and refractory/bricks repair work.
d. They shall have received a formal training or apprenticeship in the sheet metal work craft, from a recognized Trade School. They shall have at least five (5) years experience in the formation of various types of Aluminium and sheet metal or S.S. boxes, sleeves, elbows, "T" junctions cladding for pipe line and equipment. They shall be able to take accurate site measurements for the fabrication of various types of forms and/or sleeves.
• DIESEL ENGINE OPERATORS
Requirements :
a. Have BTEC or City & Guild Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (desirable but not essential).
b. Be able to service and overhaul diesel engines such as compressors, pumps, generators, etc.
c. Be capable of using the correct tools and equipment.
d. Have good knowledge of industrial safety procedures.
e. Have a minimum of four (4) years practical experience.
f. Be able to communicate in spoken and written English.

The PM shall be fluent in the English Language, have an engineering background with at least 15 years experience in project management and Oil and Gas construction activities (mechanical/ civil) and have a recognized qualification, degree or similar.
He shall be responsible for the administration of all aspects of the CONTRACT, including, but not limited to:

• MECHANICAL FIELD ENGINEER.
Minimum 10 years experience apprenticeship.
The Mechanical Engineer shall have an engineering background with at least 10 years experience in project management and onshore construction and have a recognized qualification, degree or similar.
Requirements:
1. Be skilled in the fabrication and erection of pipe work, the general maintenance and repair of process and power plant. The setting up and leveling of equipment and the aligning of rotating equipment;
2. Be capable of interpreting engineering drawings and have a good knowledge of industrial quality and safety standards;
3. Be fluent in the English language (both spoken and written);
4. Be capable of supervising the artisans and performing any administrative work. Such activities may include but will not be limited to obtaining and renewing work permits, (e.g. Clearance Certificates, Fire Permits etc.), submitting daily time sheets, input required data for the COMPANY computerized engineering administration systems;
5. Have received an engineering apprenticeship or training in Mechanical Engineering and have had approximately six (6) years further suitable experience with a minimum of two (2) years satisfactory supervisory experience;
6.Be capable of organizing the WORKS to be carried out and co-coordinating with contractors Project co-ordinator and COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE on all aspects of the WORKS
• MATERIALS / PROCUREMENT COORDINATORS.
10 years experience must have shutdown and TA experience.
The Materials Coordinator shall have proven experience of at least ten (10) years to develop and manage the Site materials management system. He/she shall have much experience working on a construction site and preferably in a shutdown context.

Requirements:
a. Scaffolding supervisors shall have not less than ten (10) years relevant experience in the scaffolding industry. He shall hold an advanced C.I.T.B or E.I.T.B. Certificate of training.

He shall be responsible to the CONTRACT MANAGER for supervision, co-ordination, and carrying out of scaffolding in connection with the WORK and shall be responsible for the workmanship, productivity, conduct and safety of the personnel. The Scaffolding supervisor shall be responsible for all aspects of design, erection and in-service maintenance and inspection of the scaffolding.
• SCAFFOLDER LEVEL 1
Requirements:
a. Have the full range of skills and certificates applicable to their trade for the Oil and Gas Industry, being skilled in the erection and inspection of such scaffolds as are required to assist the overhaul of vessels, columns, heat exchangers, spading, opening, closing, as well as small project activities, etc

• ELECTRIC ENGINEER
Requirements:
1. The incumbent shall have a minimum of 10 years professional experience in oil & gas facilities Electrical and Instruments design, construction and maintenance, and hold an appropriate technical qualification e.g. Degree, HND, or equivalent experience commensurate with the specific requirements of the WORK. He shall have knowledge of modern Electrical and instrument systems including DCS, PLC, F & G detection and metering systems.
2. The Electrical engineer shall be responsible for the following: -
- Providing specialist support in the areas of process measurement and control
- Supervision, planning and execution of electrical and instrument design activities associated with projects.
- Providing electrical & instrumentation engineering standards, drawings and procedures.
- Development of detailed contents of MC and PC packs, including tracking of works and completion thereof.
- Supervision of site installation and quality control of works.
• ELECTRIC INSPECTOR
1. Shall hold HNC in electrical/electronic engineering or City & Guilds electrical Technician Certificate.
2. Shall have minimum 10 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry in the area of electrical construction, commissioning and maintenance of certified electrical with 5 years as an electrical inspector.
• ELECTRIC TECHNICIANS.
Each technicians shall have passed the C and G 803 parts I and II or equivalent and shall have five (5) to seven (7) years experience in wiring of H.V/L.V control systems, installation of protection relays and CT‟s and explosion proof equipment. He must at least speak, read and write reasonably good English (upper secondary school level).
• SKILLED ELECTRICIANS .
Skilled Electricians shall have completed trade apprenticeship or trade school training to C and G 823 or equivalent level. They must be skilled and experienced in the use of all electricians‟ hand tools and in the use of measuring and testing equipment. They must have at least 5 years on the job experience of which two (2) years shall preferably in the oil and gas industry. . He must at least speak, read and write reasonably good English (lower secondary school level)
• MECHANICAL ENGINEERS
a. Shall hold an appropriate technical qualification e.g. Degree, HND, or equivalent.
b. Shall have an Engineering background with at least 10 years experience in Project Management and onshore construction in the Oil and Gas Sector with emphasis on Piping.
c. Shall be responsible for the fabrication operation and execution of all aspects of the Contract, including but not limited to: Engineering and construction aspects; Installation; performance, including inter alia workmanship, productivity; HSE implementation; WORK planning and execution; maintenance of drawings and records; all quality assurance and control implementation and mechanical completion.
• MECHANICAL FITTER
Requirements:
(a) have the full range of skills applicable to their trade in the Oil and Gas Industry including, but not limited to, being skilled in the repair and maintenance of refinery process and power plant, pumps, compressors, steam turbines, fans, hydraulic equipment and system etc., in the overhaul of valves (including safety relief and control valves) and of other mechanical equipment e.g. exchangers, columns, vessels and tanks, and in the alignment of running equipment;
(b) have a minimum of five (5) years suitable practical experience in oil refinery, gas, power or petro-chemical plant;
(c) have a working knowledge of the English language
• MACHINISTS.
Requirements :
(a) be able to work from drawings to produce parts, or make repairs to stationary and rotating equipment to a high level of accuracy and quality;
(b) be able to set up and operate any machine tool, including lathes, boring, milling, lapping, grinding, shaping and balancing machines;
(c) have a minimum of ten (10) years experience as a Machinist;
(d) have a sound knowledge and a familiarity with engineering drawings and sketches, as well as being fully conversant in English.
• CIVIL FIELD ENGINEERS
a. Shall hold an appropriate technical qualification e.g. Degree, HND, or equivalent.
b. Shall have at least 10 years practical site experience as a Civil Engineer in the oil and gas industry.
c. Experience shall include detailed planning for construction activities; preparation of construction packages detailing work scope and installation procedures; preparation of site sketches/drawings for issue to construction crews to aid design drawings; supervision of construction crews/teams in the execution of work; pre commissioning activities and preparation of job activities.
• PLANNING ENGINEERS / PLANNER
a. Shall hold an appropriate Technical qualification and have a minimum of five years practical experience in planning of minor and/or major onshore/offshore projects in the Oil and Gas industry.
b. Shall have knowledge of Planning software e.g. Primavera, Project Scheduler and P3E including Work Management System; Critical Path Analysis planning techniques and the preparation of project schedule;
Methods of effective presentation of planning and forecast data and information; Trend analysis and forecasting techniques ; Safety aspects of design in relation to the project cycle ; Quality Assurance and Control requirements of the design cycle, Quality Assurance and Control requirements of the design cycle,Contribute significantly to the preparation of level 3 "workpacks" or "job cards" in compliance with the contract requirements, Assess and determine actual physical progress, Develop recovery plan as and when required.

• HSE OFFICER
a. Shall have experience in the oil and gas industry.
b. Shall have attended and passed a recognized course in the management of HSE in the contracting sphere and shall have a proven track record of at least 5 years as a HSE Officer, fluent in English and fully conversant with the COMPANY HSE Standards and Specifications .
Salaries will be commensurate with their qualifications and experience.
• QA/QC COORDINATOR / INSPECTOR
He/she shall be able to demonstrate to have sufficient knowledge and experience of petro-chemical projects. Has a minimum of 10 years experience in quality assurance and control role including supervision of QA/QC activities, with a solid Engineering background and CSWIP 3.2 or equivalent qualification. Shall also hold a recognised approved qualification in Quality, such as ISO 9000 lead assessor and certified to interpret RT film. Will have detailed knowledge of NDT techniques and welding and is a certified third party lead auditor.
A co-ordinator(s) will likely hold a HND or equivalent qualifications with minimum of Ten (10) years experience.Responsibilities will include (but not limited to) :
- development and implementation of the quality plan,demonstration of quality control of all "tools" that can affect quality, ref. Torque wrenches, Pressure Gauges, Callipers, etc., to be able to identify, develop and implement corrective actions,to approve and comment on welding procedures, and to generate welding instructors, to ensure smooth safe delivery of the Quality Plan.
• INSTRUMENTS FIELD ENGINEER
The Instrumentation field engineer shall possess an HND or equivalent and shall have eight (8) to ten (10) years experience in new construction and commissioning of Instrumentation works. He must be able to speak, read and write good English (College level)
• INSTRUMENTS INSPECTOR
a. Shall hold HND/HNC in measurement and control or equivalent qualifications.
b. Shall have minimum 10 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry in the area of construction, commissioning and maintenance of process instruments, with 5 years as an Instrument Inspector.
• QUANTITY SURVEYOR
a. Shall hold an appropriate technical qualification e.g HND or equivalent.
b. Shall have a minimum of three (3) years experience as a Quantity Surveyor with Oil and Gas experience in civil and mechanical.
c. Experience shall include: Quantity Surveying services during contract evaluation and administration; preparation of bill of quantity and cost estimate; Interpretation of contractual provisions within the contract; resolution of disputes assistance.
Salaries will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
• SENIOR SUPERVISORS
The Senior Supervisor shall possess approximately ten (10) years experience with a minimum of five (5) years satisfactory supervisory experience and received an engineering apprenticeship or training in Mechanical Engineering.
Responsibilities shall include:

• WELDING INSPECTOR
Experience 10 years in Oil and Gas or related Industry with 5 years of which as Welding Inspector.
Requirements:
CSWIP - Senior Inspector 3.2 ,AWS - Certified Welding Inspector and CSWIP or PCN LII or ASNT LII in Radiographic Interpretation (Ferritic Steel) or CWB LII - Canadian Welding Bureau (AWS Equivalent ) and CSWIP or PCN LII or ASNT LII in Radiographic Interpretation (Ferric Steel or Equivalent),Knowledge in Inspection Methods/Techniques, QA/QC Principles and Standards, Knowledge in Quality Management System ISO 9000.
• PVC WELDER
a. Qualified and tested according to the Company Standards Specification 19.01, 61.6 and 6 GR.
b. Experienced in the use of tungsten arc, manual arc, gas and PVC welding and cutting techniques and other applications to ferrous and non-ferrous metal.
• BLAST / PAINT or COATING INSPECTOR
The Inspector shall be certified with NACE level 2 (National Association of Corrosion Engineers) or ERS Senior Paint Inspector Level II or equivalent as a minimum and shall have at least five (5) years experience in painting/coating inspection and in general five (5) years experience in coating application work which includes knowledge of surface preparations, paintings, protective coatings and wrapping.
The inspector is responsible for quality control and as such he shall have no direct responsibilities for production although he will work closely with the production team.
The Coating inspector shall be responsible for all protective coating HSE aspects. He will be allowed to act as Safety Officer only for the protective coating application team.He shall co-ordinate with the COMPANY's Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Division on all protective coating safety matters.
He shall be able to communicate and write fluently in English.
• COATING SUPERVISORS
The Coating Application Supervisor shall be certified with NACE level 1 or equivalent level and have at least two (2) years experience as Coating Application Supervisor. Further he shall have in general five (5) years experience in protective coating application work. He shall be well versed in the use of quality control instruments and spray application techniques of various types of paints. He shall be fully familiar with all surface preparation methods and the operation and maintenance of all related equipment used for this contract.
• SPRAY COATING
All spray coating applicators shall have had at least one (1) year suitable spray coating application experience and have a general work experience of two (2) years in protective coating application work. They shall have a thorough knowledge of the use of pneumatic tools, the mixing of paints and industrial application methods with all kinds of paint spraying equipment, such as airless and conventional spray units.
They shall be well experienced in spray painting. They shall be well versed in dismantling and cleaning the spray painting equipment and accessories
• COATING
All Coating Applicators shall have at least one (1) year suitable coating application experience in general two (2) year experience in coating application work. They shall have a thorough knowledge of and training in the use of pneumatic tools, at the mixing of coating application methods.
• PAINTERS
Fully experienced in painting preparation and protection of steel surfaces techniques using hand and mechanical EQUIPMENT by either brush, or rollers and painting to the respective standard operations contained in COMPANY'S Painting/Coating Application guide and Specifications ES-48.00 and Module 32, and be familiar with the safety requirements of painting.
• BLASTERS
(a) Fully experienced in grit blasting to a visual standard of SA 2 1/2 near white metal Swedish Standard SIS, handle and operate power tool cleaning, hand tool cleaning and solvent cleaning. Be familiar with the safety requirement of grit blasting.
(b) The blasters shall have at least 3 years suitable experience in shot blasting work using all types of abrasives including GMA garnet and glass beads. Each blaster shall be able to operate/connect shot-blasting equipment and air compressors.
(c) The blasters shall be able to shot blast any metal surface to any Swedish Pictorial Standard from SA 1 to SA 3.
(d) The blasters shall be to work in confined spaces, at heights or from suspended work platforms.
(e) In general the blasters shall have two (2) years of work experience in protective coating application work.
• BLASTER AND PAINTER SPRAY;
1. Blaster – B$ 23.00 per day (with 8 hours working time) from 0800 till 1700 hours, work beyond 8 hours normal (or beyond 1700) will be consider as overtime @ B$ 4.00 per hour
2. Spray Painter – B$ 21.00 per day (with 8 hours working time) from 0800 till 1700 hours, work beyond 8 hours normal (or beyond 1700) will be consider as overtime @ B$ 3.50 per hour
3. Blaster cum Spray Painter – B$ 30.00 per day (with 8 hours working time) from 0800 till 1700 hours, work beyond 8 hours normal (or beyond 1700) will be consider as overtime @ B$ 5.00 per hour
4. Wages will start count upon passing the BLNG plant HSE Induction course, i.e. start work in BLNG plant. And if unfortunately fail the BLNG HSE Induction course, we – SAHID will try our best to guard pass the HSE Induction with the maximum of 2 times re-sitting the examination.
5. The above mentioned working hours is only applicable to the BLNG plant working time.

• STATIONARY EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN
Requirements :
a. Be skilled on the opening up, closing, removal and installation of stationary equipment such as vessel, columns, heat exchangers, filters, non-return valve, valves, sight glasses, safety/relief valves, control valves including repacking and lapping of various valves;
b. Be familiar with spading and de-spading of pipeline system and have basic knowledge of hydraulic system;
c. Be familiar with piping work such as flange sizes, stud-bolts, pressure setting and gasket materials;
d. Be capable of using tools such as torque wrenches and hydraulic bolt tensioning equipment;
e. Be fluent in spoken and written English.
f. Have industrial working experience in the process industry on similar work for at least four years;
g Have BTEC or City and Guild Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (desirable but not essential).
h. A minimum of 3 personnel are required to be certified in the use of Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• CONTROL VALVE TECHNICIANS
Requirements :
a. Have experience - at least ten (10) years, in the overhaul, setting and testing of all types of control valves, including but not limited to FISHER, MASONEILAN AND BETTIS control valves and actuators. He must have relevant experience and ability in the testing procedures, stroke adjustment and repair;
b. Have BTEC or City and Guild Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (desirable but not
c. Have industrial work experience on relevant types of control valves in overhaul and testing for a minimum of 4 years;

• SAFETY RELIEF VALVE TECHNICIANS.
Requirements :
a. Be experienced - at least ten (10) years, in the overhaul, setting and testing of all types of Safety Relief Valves, including but not limited to CROSBY, FUKUI, DRESSER, ANDERSON & GREENWOOD. He must have relevant experience and ability in repair and testing of Safety Relief Valves. He should be capable of working with inspectors and maintaining simple repair records systems. He should understand the principle of operation of Safety Relief Valves;
b. Have BTEC or City and Guild Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (desirable but not essential);
c. Have industrial work experience on relevant types of safety relief valves in overhaul and testing for a minimum of 4 years;
d. Be fluent in spoken and written English;
e. Preferably be capable of handling records systems;
f. Be capable of motivating and directing small teams of 2-4 fitter mechanics
• ROTATING EQUIPMENTS TECHNICIANS.
Requirements :
a.Have obtained National Certificate (BTEC) or equivalent City and Guilds Certificate in Mechanical Engineering Practices;
b. Be capable of overhauling rotating equipment such as centrifugal and reciprocating pumps, steam turbines, gear boxes and reciprocating compressors (including their piping system and structural support);
c. Be able to interpret drawings and manuals and have a good understanding of the functioning of each part of the equipment.
d. Be able to diagnose and correct intricate problems in turbine/compressor lube-, control- and seal oil systems and other hydraulic systems.
e. Be capable of selecting and using the correct tools, alignment equipment and materials;
f. Have good knowledge of industrial safety procedures;
g. Have a minimum of six (6) years practical experience in overhauling rotating equipment;
h. Be able to communicate in spoken and written English.
• RIGGERS
Requirements :
a. Have the full range of skills applicable to their trade in the Oil and Gas Industry including, but not limited to being skilled in the sizing and fixing of slings, chain blocks etc., giving clear control instructions to crane operators and in the erection of steelwork
b. Have a minimum of four (4) years suitable practical experience in oil refinery, gas, power or petro-chemical plant
c. Have a working knowledge of the applicable standards and the use and handling of :
- wire ropes/slings to BS1290, BS3317 and BS3481 , pulley blocks to BS3243 , shackles to BS3032, chain hoists to BS4898.
• INSULATION SUPERVISORS.
Requirements :
a. The Insulation Supervisor shall have received education up to Form 5 level and shall be able to speak, read and write in the English language. He shall have a proven record as a supervisor in Thermal and Cryogenic Insulation, the application of vapour barriers and Glass fibre Reinforced Epoxy, the mixing of chemicals for the formulation of Polyurethane Foam and the maintenance/installation of refractory bricks or mortar work and sheet metal work for at least Five (5) years. He shall be able to demonstrate his competence by passing a competence or trade test if so required by the COMPANY.
b. He should have knowledge of the latest revision of the CINI guideline and know how to apply the guideline for hot and cold insulation.
c. He shall be able to take measurements and be familiar with sheet metal equipment and make sketches for the fabrication of sheet metal work as well as being capable of installing the finished work
d. He must be capable of exercising firm control over his subordinates and must meet the stringent standards (QA/QC) required for insulation work.
e. He shall be well experienced in the operation and general maintenance of mechanical agitators and foaming machines, and in quality control procedures.
• INSULATOR / FABRICATORS.
Requirements :
a. The Insulators/Fabricators shall have received education up to Form 3 level and be able to speak, read and write in the English/Malay languages.
b. They shall have received a formal training or apprenticeship in their craft and shall be skilled in Sheet Metal Fabrication, the installation and repair of Thermal and Cryogenic Insulation, the application of vapour barriers and Glass fibre Reinforced Epoxy, the mixing of chemicals for the formulation of Polyurethane Foam and the maintenance/installation of refractory bricks or mortar work.
c. They shall be skilled in the installation/repair of sheet metal work. They shall be thoroughly familiar with all other work related to Thermal and Cryogenic Insulation and refractory/bricks repair work.
d. They shall have received a formal training or apprenticeship in the sheet metal work craft, from a recognized Trade School. They shall have at least five (5) years experience in the formation of various types of Aluminium and sheet metal or S.S. boxes, sleeves, elbows, "T" junctions cladding for pipe line and equipment. They shall be able to take accurate site measurements for the fabrication of various types of forms and/or sleeves.
• DIESEL ENGINE OPERATORS
Requirements :
a. Have BTEC or City & Guild Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (desirable but not essential).
b. Be able to service and overhaul diesel engines such as compressors, pumps, generators, etc.
c. Be capable of using the correct tools and equipment.
d. Have good knowledge of industrial safety procedures.
e. Have a minimum of four (4) years practical experience.
f. Be able to communicate in spoken and written English.
