ENGINEERING JOBS
- Advise the Engineering Authority (EA) and staff on issues relating to technical integrity
- Advise pipeline engineer and inspection frequencies and techniques within his area
- Be involved / consulted in Management of Change efforts that relate to their area of piping/pipeline engineering expertise
- Advise on the use of appropriate standards, practices and design guidelines
- Serve as a principal resource to the Region EA for the development of the Site Technical Practices
- Advise the Business Unit staff and the EA with respect to exceptions to the Site Technical Practices (STPs)
- Technically evaluate requests for exceptions to the STPs / industry standards as requested.
- Actively participate in BP technical networks / communities of interest, maintaining a strong awareness of technical learning, advances within their area of specialty, etc.
- Serve as a technical focal point for engineers within the region in their area of engineering specialty.
- Link with the relevant Segment Technical Authorities to understand Engineering Technical Practice / risk-related issues, and network on potential exceptions to STPs
Essential Education: Minimum Bachelor degree in Engineering from reputable university
Essential experience and job requirements:
- At minimum 12 years experience in pipeline engineering in oil and gas industry
- Extensive Pipeline experience in design and supporting operations/ integrity
- Skillful in Spec, Code, and standards applicable to oil and gas industry
- Excellent communication in Bahasa Indonesia and English
Desirable criteria and qualifications:
- Knowledge of Pipeline integrity management and compliance
- Knowledge of Pipeline regulatory matters
- Professional Engineering member
- Proven leadership skills and experience.
