The Deutzche Gesellschaft fur International Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a Garman international cooperation enterprise for sustainable development with worldwide operations, GIZ has a record of more thin 20 years of Involvement in renewable energy (RE) in IndonesIa. Starting from rural electrification and mini hydro power, the portfolio expanded to other renewable energies and larger gird connected systems such as biomass/biogas and photovoltaic.
Giz in cooperation with the Ministry Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) the Ministry of Home Affairs and the ASEAN Centre for Energy is presently implementing four projects working in the areas of rural electrification and off-grid systems; waste to energy from agro lndustry, application oriented PV solutions introduction of Innovative business models and technology related to RE and diesel substitution with RE options; capacity building and regional ,cooperation A key strategy of all projects is cooperation with the private sector. GIZ seeks qualified Indonesian candidates for two positions (qualified women are strongly encouraged to apply):
Scope of work in coordination with the G1Z Team Leader liaison with lndonesian stakholders, take responsibility for implementation of project activities.
Required experience: the Ideal candidate brings in-depth understanding of the Indonesian energy sector, in particular the renewable energy sector. In addition, S/he has a broad network within the Indonesian RE community and in particular close contacts to and experience in working with the state electricity utility PLN the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. other relevant state entities and important service and technology providers in the private energy sector.
Scope ct work toke responsibility for the implementation of sub-components of renewable energy projects and support in monitoring and reporting
Required experience: the deal candidate is familiar with the major issues of RE in Indonesia. S/he had previous exposure to the sector through working with or for: the state electricity utility PLN the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, other relevant state entities and important service and technology providers in the private energy sector.
Educational background: a science orientated masters degree with good understanding of socio-economic aspects of energy or a social science degree at masters level, with a very good understanding of the technical aspects of renewable energy development. Prior experience in photovoltaic and/or biomass/biogass is required.
