Requirements:
- Completion of secondary (12 years) education supplemented by 3 years technical training in telecommunications to diploma or equivalent. Good knowledge spoken and written English. Computer literate.
- 4- 6 years experience in the telecommunication installation and maintenance with background in digital electronics / Fiber Optics and radio communications.
- Good PC skills with knowledge of MS Office / Visio packages. Knowledge computer networking and block wiring.
- Work in accordance with supervisor’s instructions and follow international industry standards, and skilled technical practices. Work is spot checked by the supervisor.
- Awareness of safety & protection standards for Oil/Gas/Marine environments.
- Have frequent contacts with company employees up to Section Head Level to receive notification of faults and to arrange remedial action. Have occasional contacts with QTEL maintenance staff when attending to QTEL services faults. .
