The Pearl Gas to Liquids (GTL) project includes the development of offshore natural gas resources in Qatar’s North Field. Upstream, natural gas will be produced, transported and processed to produce 120,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day of condensate, liquefied petroleum gas and ethane. Downstream, dry gas will be used as feedstock to produce 140,000 barrels per day of clean, high quality GTL fuels and products.

We’re currently looking to recruit QMI & Metering Technicians. 

Responsibilities:
Initially, during the plant start-up phase, you will assist in the development of the Maintenance Plans, Working Instructions and Structured On The Job Training Modules. You will also be assigned tasks to support the Construction and Start Up organizations in witnessing contractor activities to ensure that they deliver a world-class facility with Flawless Start-up.

Once the plant is handed-over, you will be accountable for the maintenance of QMI equipment based on approved Maintenance Strategies, Procedures and Working Instructions to ensure the Availability and Integrity of the installed QMIs thus meeting the requirements of the company. 


Requirements:
You should have at least OND/ONC or equivalent in Instrumentation with at least 10-15 years maintenance experience in either onshore or offshore facilities within the Petrochemical Industry. You should have knowledge and at minimum, 7 years of working experience in QMI Installation, Maintenance Execution and Metering Systems Inspection and Testing. Experience in troubleshooting and analysis of equipment failure is required.

You shall have knowledge in scientific principles, different measuring principles, engineering fundamentals and computer technology and have the ability to mentor junior colleagues. In addition, you must have the ability to work in a team in a multicultural environment and must be able to communicate effectively.

Fluency in both written and verbal English is mandatory and tests will be given.
