Sr. Reservoir Engineer

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for developing and managing geothermal resources to ensure their long term sustainable use
  • Monitoring production and injection performance on existing fields to optimize production and maximize recovery.
  • Performing well test analysis.
  • Performing reservoir simulation modelling/studies and generating production forecasts including economic analysis.
  • Technical input and support to new field development planning.
  • Project management of outsourced reservoir engineering studies.
  • Planning and execution of technical programs in conjunction with drilling/well operations and geoscience teams.
  • Technical input to appraisal and field development programs
  • Performs all other duties as may be required by the business needs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering or Geothermal Engineering (Master’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering or Geothermal Engineering preferred).
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in reservoir engineering and well surveillance including a minimum 3+ years of geothermal experience .
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the reservoir engineering concepts and processes; pressure transient and rate transient analyses; rock and fluid properties; performance monitoring/improvement; and reserves estimation.
  • Have experience with reservoir engineering tools
  • Demonstrated ability to build team consensus, leadership and ability to work effectively and collaboratively in multi-discipline and multi-team environment such as well testing team, engineering team and operations team.
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly convey concepts and objectives orally; in presentations and in technical reports.
  • Strong organizational skills to coordinate a multitude of projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure.
