Job Description Job purpose & Scope:
- Manage and administer company Engineering specifications to enable their easy retrieval / use as and when required.
- Manage and update the Engineering Specification continuously in line with Engineering Specification update process.
- Provide Engineering Specification to all users / contractors / consultants for project use.

Principal Accountabilities:
1. Manage / Administer Company Corporate Engineering Specifications discipline by discipline to reflect the International Codes for company use.
2. Manage the updating of Engineering Procedures to reflect the needs of the Engineering Department work instructions and activities related to quality control.
3. Standardize technical documentation with respect to format, category and link to overall specification.
4. Manage the following documents format / structure, revision for standardization in the company:
-Scope of work / services for studies and projects.
-Material requisitions as part of the Commercial Department’s purchase requisitions for new equipment.
-Engineering packages, including specifications, datasheets, drawings etc.
-Vendor documentation.
5. Coordinate with other departments, eg. Business Units/ Support Units on provision of all Engineering /technical specifications.
6. Keep up to date with the latest codes & standards and alert engineers of revisions.
7. Maintain records of proposed changes/ comments to current Engineering Specifications/ Procedures/ Data sheets etc.
8. Liaise with discipline engineers on updating all engineering specifications.
9. Ensure the Engineering Specifications and Procedures are available and up to date on the Company Intranet
10. Liaise with EPS to ensure that all Engineering Specifications and Procedures are managed and accessible on the Company Intranet.
11. Act as focal point for all Company Specifications.


Minimum Requirements:
BSc or equivalent in Engineering from a recognized Technical University
Not less than 10 years experience in the oil & gas industry, and at least 5 years in a related quality assurance team.
Good knowledge of International Standards and Codes, particularly Quality Management Systems to ISO 9000 series.
Technical author in Quality related documentation
Certified Lead Assessor
Fluent in both written and spoken English
Computer Literate with experience using Microsoft Office, Visio and SmartPlant Foundation Engineering Document Management System (EDMS)
