| Job Description | 1. Job purpose & Scope: Provide technical support, under the supervision of Team Leader, covering all aspects of engineering activities in his discipline for a variety of works. 2. Principal Accountabilities: a.) Define the technical requirements and performance of engineering activities in his discipline for a variety of works in Oil & Gas-upstream and downstream fields. b.) Prepare and up-date Company standard specifications and manuals. c.) Participate in site surveys of existing facilities to establish and identify the actual requirements. d.) Participate in all Engineering and Safety related studies to ensure that all Engineering works in his discipline conforms to Best Industries practices, Safety in design/HSE performance. e.) Monitoring, reviewing and approving engineering design carried out by Consultant / Engineering Companies including feasibility studies, Conceptual design, Basic and Detailed Engineering. f.) Coordinate with other Engineers to ensure conformity of engineering with user’s requirements during the development of the projects . g.) Prepare technical documents including Scope of works, data sheets, material requisitions and requirements for material testing. h.) Carry out technical bid evaluation of bid for consultants selection , services and material required for the works. i.) Participate in the clarification meetings with Contractors and Vendors to ensure compliance with technical specifications & requirements and provide Technical Evaluation and appraisal reports. j.) Review the updated technical drawings for the installations and ensure conformity of the As-built status with the Design and Technical requirements. k.) Development and updating of the cost estimates and schedules for the works. l.) Solve all Engineering related issues arising in his discipline during the Construction/Commissioning phase of projects. m.) Mentor/Provide Technical Guidance and Training to the Graduate Engineers. 3. Organizational Relationships (Work Contacts): Regular contacts at own or next higher level within the Company to follow-up and coordinate the Engineering work. Contact with external parties as required and by Team Leader. 4. Independence of Operations and Decision-making Authority: Exercise initiative in accordance with established procedures and governed by professional standards. 5. Physical Effort: Minimal. 6. Work Environment: Normally air-conditioned environment with occasional site visits (40%). |

| Profile | Minimum Requirements: a.) B.E/B.Tech. in Instrumentation (or) B. Sc. in Electrical / Electronic Engineering b.) 15 years experience of which minimum 10 years should be in design of Instruments & Control systems (PLC, DCS, ESD, F&G systems, HIPPS, SCADA/RTU), control systems’ Networks, Fiber optic/Sub-sea cabling/Networks, Electronic/Hydraulic/Pneumatic Control Systems including Wellhead Control systems, control valves, Actuators and Actuated Valves; Pressure Safety Valves; Field Instruments, Telecommunication systems and their field equipment in Oil & Gas Up-stream and Downstream field or related industry. c.) Experience in Brownfield related modification works. d.) Experience in assessment , verification and validation of Safety Integrity Level (SIL) for the Safety Instrumented Functions. e.) Excellent knowledge of all International Codes and Standards in his own field like IEC, ISO, SOLAS, API, ANSI/ISA,ASME,NFPA, BS, ITU-T, etc. and general knowledge of other disciplines. f.) Very good knowledge of English. g.) Computer literate. |
