Global Oil and Gas Operator is recruiting for a Senior Geologist to be based in their local office in Rio de Janeiro.

Exploration Geologist, with experience in the Brazilian and South America Basins; fluent in Portuguese, English and fluency in Spanish will be seen as a great differential.

Responsibilities include:
- Petroleum system analysis for several acreages Brazil and South America.
- Regional-scale and prospect-specific work on source potential (thickness, richness, and type) and charge access (thermal maturity and migration).
- Addressing prospect containment risks through modeling of effective stress, fluid gas-oil ratios, and column capacity.
- Assessment of prospect deliverability risk also addressed through modeling of reservoir porosity and fluid viscosity.
- Contribute also to select the best exploration blocks in Brazil's ANP Bid Rounds.
- Regional mapping and play fairway analysis in Brazilian basins.
- Be part of a team that will participated in farm-ins and exploration license acquisition evaluations in Brazil and South America.
