Mechanical Reliability Engineer

 Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), Asset Performance Management (APM) and Reliability Center Maintenance (RCM) studies in an effort to convert the nature of maintenance from reactive repairs to proactive preventive maintenance and condition monitoring.
  • Provide consultation to the Plants' APM and RCM programs to world-class effectiveness through management of the existing monitoring systems and emerging data management tools.
  • Identify and apply appropriate maintenance strategies to minimize the impact of failures on business performance.
  • Use reliability engineering tools and methods to assess current performance and recommend improvements.
  • Lead and participate in engineering activities that improve the reliability of company assets and optimize maintenance costs.
  • Focus on identification of equipment issues before they result in failures via use of predictive tools and reliability methods.
  • Solve complex problems using innovative application of root cause analysis and APM methods through internal and external sources.
  • Provide technical support to the field regarding equipment troubleshooting and machinery upgrade projects.
  • Conduct Six Sigma studies to improve the reliability of critical equipment.

Desired Skills & Experience

Minimum Requirements
 
You will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering with nine years’ experience in the reliability profession.
