Job Description

  • Lead pipeline engineer within the Subsea, Umbilicals, Risers and Flowlines (SURF) organization of Offshore Projects – Americas
  • The primary purpose of this position is to safely manage and deliver pipelines, flowlines and related equipment on major offshore deepwater projects in Upstream Americas and to work with the other disciplines to deliver a totally integrated project, per the Basis of Design, to applicable cost and schedule metrics
  • The specific responsibilities are focused on the execution and delivery of the pipelines and flowlines scopes of work within an overall deep water project
  • Typically, this includes the specification, selection, design, tendering, award, procurement, construction and installation for these scopes
  • The work can span the system selection, FEED and execution phases of project delivery as well as commissioning and start-up support
  • Important aspects include a strong focus on safety in design and execution, technical depth in the offshore pipelines discipline, an ability to coach and develop staff and to work with contractors and a keen interest in learning and knowledge sharing


Requirements:

Desired Skills & Experience

  • This position requires an engineering degree and a minimum of 15 years of experience in deepwater / offshore pipeline project engineering and management
  • Both engineering and offshore installation experience and skills are required
  •  The ability to manage interfaces and provide an overall systems perspective is important
  • The work requires individuals who are results-driven, enthusiastic, energetic, dedicated, flexible and willing to work in a team-based environment
  • Significant travel may be required during the installation phases of the pipeline projects
