Principal Analyst Petrophysicist is urgently needed to fill a
position in Houston, TX with a top consultancy company focusing on
reservoir management!
Progressive Global Energy & Natural Resources specializes in delivering first-rate professionals to the Oil & Gas industry. I work specifically with Petrophysicist and have been hired to execute an executive search to fill this role as soon as possible.
• B.Sc. (PhD or Masters preferred) with >3.5 GPA from a notable Oil & Gas Institution
• At least a minimum of 5 consecutive years of working with an IOC A total of at least 20+ years of upstream industry experience.
• Design and coordinate LWD and/or wireline logging programs for reservoir monitoring, special core measurements, formation testers (pressure and sampling), production logging and evaluating new logging technology.
• Provide interpretation of log data including nuclear magnetic resonance, elemental capture spectroscopy, dielectric and sonic platforms. Use TCL/TK, Python, Loglan, QT and VBA to extend petrophysical sub-routines while characterizing reservoir properties in multiple fields.
• Assess and/or integrate reservoir engineering analyses including well test analysis, petrophysical log analysis, residual oil saturation techniques, special core analysis, decline curve analysis and/or material balance to evaluate development plans, reserves analysis and economic evaluation.
• Assess and specify reservoir stimulation practices such as fracturing, gravel pack and acidizing techniques.
• This position requires rotational travel amounting of up to 50% time out-of-country.
