The purpose of the this role is to provide Assurance of conformance to applicable ETPs for Wells in GPO. Furthermore, the ability to facilitate deviations to Engineering Technical Practices for Wells in GPO as well as directly, or through Technical Authorities, communicate, embed and interpret Series 10 ETPs. Finally ensuring rigorous implementation of ETPs in GPO, working in partnership with the Wells VP Major Projects and OBO.
▪ Develop and publish the Register of Major Projects for which S&OR GWO will provide assurance and exercise conformance to EP SG 5.1-0001 S&OR Assurance of GWO participation in MPcp in Developments
▪ Arrange and facilitate the Wells discipline review meeting and the Pre-PRM Wells LT Alignment Meeting
▪ Assure that risk management decisions are implicit in concept select decisions and properly incorporate wells risk at project appraise
▪ Ensure risk is properly discussed in wells leadership team review and manage plans that cost and schedule properly reflect S&OR risk at project select and define
▪ Participate in new well delivery review throughout execute and operate phases
▪ Participate in SUAR at entry to Operate Stage Gate
▪ Provide input to the GWEA annual engineering plan for their Wells area covering critical engineering activities, including their plan, as appropriate, for implementation of divisionally required changes to the management system
▪ Provide expert judgment on practice in support of TAs
▪ Recommend a position to the GWEA on any requested deviations from ETPs and Agree to those supported
▪ Monitor compliance with Practice and Assurance processes within GPO
▪ Participate in applicable engineering discipline networks and communities of practice
▪ Analyze Deviation trends and provide insights to GWEA for Wells SORC
▪ Agree to BODs for Tier 1 and Tier 2 Wells

Job Description
This role will report into the Global Wells Engineering Authority, GWO S&OR and the successful incumbent will work closely with various Segment Technical Authorities for Series 10 Engineering Technical Practices and Area Engineering Authorities in GWO S&OR. Essential Education
▪ A degree in Engineering and appropriate professional accreditations strongly preferred

▪ Highly respected technical contributor with ability to participate both internally and externally
▪ Proven team leader preferably with experience of leading large distributed teams
