Job purpose:
Graduate Engineer for our office in Stavanger.
Reporting lines and interactions:
- Functionally reports to: Engineering Discipline Manager
- Operationally reports to: Project Manager
- Directly supervises : NA
- Key interactions: NA
Job scope:
Subsea
installation and intervention engineering including use of analysis
tools such as Orcaflex and SIMO/SIMVIS. Also practical experience as
offshore project engineer onboard our pipelay and construction vessels.
In addition to engineering tasks, the work also typically include other
project activities such as subcontractor follow-up, preparation and
planning of offshore operations and including going offshore.
Profile:
Must have:
- Engineering Degree (M.Sc., B.Sc or equivalent)
- Good verbal and written English
This
position suits graduated engineers with major area of study within
mechanics, static and dynamic analyses, hydrodynamics, marine structures
and operations.
Main Accountabilities:
- Follow-up of flexible pipe manufacturing activities at Technip's manufacturing facility in Le Trait, France and pipeline welding at the spoolbase in Orkanger
- Design and analysis of flexible riser and flowline systems, including use of analysis tools such as Orcaflex, Flexcom 3D and Deeplines
- Design and analysis of rigid pipeline systems, including use of analysis tools such as Orcaflex and Abaqus
- Design and analysis of subsea structures, including using tools as Staad.Pro, ANSYS and Abaqus
