A major operator is searching for an experienced Wells
Performance Technician (Drilling & Completions Technician) for a 1
year contract position. There is potential for this contract to be
extended. The position is based in their corporate office in the Energy
Corridor in Houston, TX.
Role Synopsis
Our diverse global portfolio includes some of the industry's biggest technical challenges as we push the limits in ultra-deepwater, arctic frontier, ultra-HPHT and deliver some of the world's biggest wells. Our Performance Drilling team support and assure engineering activity covering the planning, program preparation and execution of drilling operations within the wells team. The Wells Performance Technician reports to the Wells Performance Team Leader.
Support the performance engineers in developing and implementing analysis and reporting processes associated with planning, execution and post execution of GoM wells. This includes information retrieval and analytical support for historical well analysis, AFE support packages (SWE/DCUS), and benchmarking. This role also includes support with monthly Wells Process Safety KPI analysis & reporting, Rushmore benchmarking, end of well scorecards, wells functional quarterly performance reviews (QPR), supplier performance mgmt (SPM), and other project performance reviews.
Responsible for supporting the Functional Performance Team with the development and implementation of process simplification and standardization guidelines associated with GoM wells performance management and reporting. Responsible for special projects support that may arise, such as delivery of historical information associated with legal or regulatory requests, etc.
Key Accountabilities:Responsibilities may include but are not limited to
* Provide and analyze operational data from OpenWells for performance engineering studies (field studies, offset analysis, rig performance).
* Support the OpenWells operational data cleanup for targeted fields
* Analyze and trend OpenWells data: NPT, hole section performance, time detail, BHA data, cost and vendor information, etc. for probabilistic time & cost estimating, FM AFE support for wells,
* Support development of and maintenance of performance engineering documents and SharePoint.
* Support preparation and draft presentations, provide additional graphics support / visualization, including posters, PowerPoint, Visio
* Working knowledge of core data applications (EDM OpenWells, Traction, Bizflow)
* Support the performance engineer's review of Rushmore Reviews data submittal from the engineers.
* Compile data for QPRs, performance reviews, KPIs and benchmarking.
* Use internal and external databases for benchmarking and offset analysis (OpenWells, WOTSAT, OWL, Rushmore, PCOOSA - scout tickets, etc.).
