Progressive is working on behalf of a Perth based leading oil & gas exploration and production company. We are looking for an ambitious Exploration Geophysicist to join their existing small team of talented individuals. The successful candidate will be a Senior Geophysicist with a high level of geophysical and overall geosciences expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for providing geophysical analysis to support exploration and production activities in' operated and non-operated ventures - interpretation of 2D and 3D seismic data to deliver high quality, integrated mapping evaluations to generate exploration prospects, support development decisions, monitor production performance and as input to reserve estimation
* Provide geophysical support, on an as needed basis, to supplement the technical exploration and production activities.
* Play a role in evaluating international exploration opportunities
* International travel to unique global locations
Requirements:
* Degree in Industry Disciple (Geology / Geophysics)
* Must hold Australian Residency
* 6 - 15 year's industry experience, majority in an operating exploration & production company
* High in attribution analysis
* 2D and 3D seismic workstation interpretation experience
* Strong interpretation skills and understanding of geology
* Self motivated and a solution finder
* Experience of working in diverse structural/basin settings and ability to conduct integrated analyses of hydrocarbon systems, identify and evaluate plays and generate new prospects
